Nigel was torn between making breakfast for his still sleeping fiance in the condo's deluxe state of the art kitchen and reading his wedding planner book. He had just gotten to the chapter on destination weddings which made him ponder the option seriously. This was his first wedding. And he was damn determined that it would be his only wedding. He had found his prince charming, he laughed to himself as he finished up the very heart healthy spinach and egg scramble with raspberries. And he was not ever losing him. Now that Richard knew his secret past and didn't seem to care it felt like a whole boulder was rolling off his shoulders. He wasn't scared anymore. Not of Lonnie and his threats anyway. In fact he had even texted Spencer that he didn't need his money anymore but he didn't mind him investing in the restaurant if he was actually interested. He also offered his future brother in law the opportunity to do the books for it at least part time. He figured it couldn't hurt to have the smartest man ever on his side especially with Spencer's uncanny ability at maths.
As he arranged the food on two plates on a wicker tray with glasses of orange juice and bowls of hearty oatmeal, he considered a week long wedding celebration in Rome. He knew that Richard enjoyed Italy. No. Maybe that would be a better honeymoon spot. Or perhaps the Bahamas for the honeymoon and Rome for the wedding ?
He was lost in thought as he vaguely noticed that he had a text on his phone. His feeling of happiness slightly faded when he saw it was from his soon to be mother in law. What did that bitch want? Whatever it was he would handle it without telling Richard. Richard could not take any unnecessary stress now. Or necessary stress for that matter.
Doris: If you think you are marrying into my family you are more stupid than you look. I have so much information on you and your little nasty past. I wonder what my foolish son would think if he saw this information?
Nigel laughed out loud. Too late, bitch , he mused as he texted back deftly.
Nigel: He already knows. And he doesn't care. Next move, witch. But be careful. I'm dangerous. How do you think I lost my eye ? The other guy got off worse.
He was still laughing as he entered the bedroom with the tray and found his man awake in bed and reading the Washington Post on his iPad.
Richard peered through his reading glasses at him and smiled widely. " Good morning, beautiful. Is that for me? "
