Denise shifted from Daniella in her mother's Bentley. Daniella didn't bother to say anything and she was glad, she didn't want to hear anything, she was too exhausted to even think.Sheila was silent throughout their drive home and it put both of them on the edge for different reasons.
Denise didn't know what to expect, their relationship sad relatively new, and she was already messing it up. She wanted to slap herself on the head for being so dumb. She didn't know what to do. How to go about it.
When they drove into their house, Sheila parked into the drive away. She got down from the car and marched up into the house. The sky was already clearing and it was almost bright in the morning.
Moni was standing there with the other staff waiting for them. Sheila didn't them any heed. Moni blinked when the young madam came out of the car. They heard something had happened but they didn't know what exactly happened but now seeing the two of them coming outside from their car, what was going on?
"Miss Denise?" Moni said surprised. Denise reluctantly walked toward them. It was freezing cold and Pedro didn't accept his jacket back. Daniella ignored her and entered the room, ignoring the staff in the process.
"Miss Denise? What happened?" Moni asked, looking at the smudged make-up, rough hair, and an outfit that none of them had seen her wearing when she was leaving.
"I..." she stopped herself, what was she going to say? How would she explain that she went to a secret party she wasn't supposed to go to and someone ended up dying? That someone was last seen with her, even though everyone said it was suicide.
"I will explain later," she ran into this house and stopped seeing her mom in the middle of the guest living room, already waiting with Daniella, who had her eyes fixed on the ground.
"Sit," Sheila commanded. Slowly, both of them descended into a seat across from each other. Where was she supposed to start from? Shettima had gone on a business trip and she knew she couldn't burden him with her children's drama or her lack of accountability to take into the fact that Daniella was lying to her.
"What were you thinking?" Sheila started, looking from Denise to Daniella, it was like looking at the same people but in different outfit. Denise had a jacket wrapped around her body but she was still shivering, her make-up was all over the place and she looked like she needed sleep.
Daniella on the other hand was staring at the wall, she didn't look happy but Sheila suspected that it was only because she was caught.
"Why was I called at three am, on a Saturday morning, to come and pick my girls up from the police station? What is your problem?! Did you people not tell me you were going to have sleepovers and brunch with Vivan and Ashley? Why were you found at a party in Electra's house?"
What was she going to say? That she followed Daniella to a party that were serving drugs and alcohol? Even though she didn't take any, it didn't mean anything.
"I am listening!" Sheila snapped at him. Denise sighed and pulled her jacket off.
"Mom..." the duo said simultaneously and glanced at each other. They looked away immediately and Sheila's frown deepened.
"What the hell happen? Why were you in that house Daniella? Explain yourself! Now!"
Daniella closed her eyes and sighed. She was exhausted. What was she going to say? She didn't know how to tell her mother.
"Look mom, we didn't know who die," Daniella said to make it look better.
"I didn't ask you that Daniella! Daniella you were at party even though I probibited you from going! And you took your sister with you!"
