i'm listening to: one of these mornings by tv girl 😁
(Y/N) opened the door to the room Sheldon was in while they were currently staying in Germany. All three of them had just arrived that day, and (Y/N) was walking around checking out their hotel while Mary finished settling everything. And Sheldon? They didn't know, so, Mary asked (Y/N) to go and check on him. She arched a brow, confused by the way he flinched, quickly shutting his small notebook that he was writing in.
"Hey," she said, shutting the door behind her. "Whatcha doin'?" (Y/N) asked, pulling out a chair next to him. He looked over to her, his eyes still remaining wide.
"Uh- nothing." He stammered, avoiding (Y/N)'s gaze as her lips parted slightly, leaning back into the uncomfortable wooden chair. She raised a brow again, clearly not believing him. Sheldon hesitated at her reaction, before deciding he could tell at least one person. "Alright, fine. I'm plotting on how to..." He leaned in close to her ear to continue. "Sneak onto the fascinating train ride." He whispered, pulling back as he gulped nervously, scared of what (Y/N) would say. "Hm, I think I could help you," she suggested, leaning slightly closer as she rested her elbows onto the hard desk. Sheldon looked shocked, like he'd never expect someone to actually want to help him... disobey his own mother.
"Really?" He said, his eyes wide. (Y/N) nodded, smiling at him intently. "Uh-huh." She nodded. "Now, let me see what you have so far!" She raised a brow, that same smile still plastered along her face, reaching out for Sheldon's small notebook. He nodded, taking his arm off of it and sliding it across the desk for (Y/N). Opening it, she glanced at him with a disapproving look. "What?" He questioned. She shook her head, mouth stretched into a line. "This is it?" She said, her brow raised as high as it could be. Sheldon glanced at her, nodding slowly. "I know." He said, clearly not proud of himself either.
After about an hour of helping him plan it all out, the two of them walked out of the room, looking around. Sheldon walked up to his mom, who had the Bible open in front of her, her eyes tracing along the words on the page.
"Mom," Sheldon spoke, standing in front of her, his tall figure startling her, causing her to jump quickly. "Oh, sorry- uh, yes, Shelly?" She said, holding a hand to her heart as she slowed down her breathing, glancing at (Y/N). Sheldon seemed confused at first, before just shaking it off.
"(Y/N) talked me into going to the library instead of the train ride. May I go?" Sheldon said, already grabbing his blue backpack. (Y/N) stood there, staring at the two intently as she put her hands behind her back, crossing her fingers in hopes that Sheldon could successfully lie to his mother. Mary glanced at (Y/N) again, brow raised before looking back at Sheldon, smiling warmly. "Well, good! And I don't see why not." She said, small lines forming around her eyes as her smile widened. Sheldon nodded, smiling. "OK, bye." He turned around, before winking at (Y/N), and wrapping his hand around the knob, turning it, and shutting it behind him. Gosh was (Y/N) relieved.
"Thank you for that, he wouldn't listen to me." Mary sighed, picking her Bible back up, flipping the pages to find her previous one. "No problem!" (Y/N) grinned, before walking into the kitchen to find something to eat, and she could only wish everything would go smoothly.
Five hours had gone by, no sign of Sheldon. (Y/N) was beginning to worry, what if Mary began to get suspicious and found out everything? Please, that could absolutely, not a chance, wouldn't, shouldn't happen. They flinched at the front door to their hotel opening, quickly scrambling off of the bed to go see who it was.
Mary was already standing there, eyes wide as she looked Sheldon up and down in pure confusion. (Y/N) blushed at the sight of Sheldon standing there, splotches of dirt spread on him and his face. Grass stains on his jeans, and he was missing a shoe.
