The Phantom was towed by Pope (who drove Brooklynn's car). Brooklynn, JJ, Pope and Kiara drove to the dock at the dump and waited for John B.
The boat floated in the water as JJ gave it a once-over to make sure it was still functional. Kiara and Pope were loading groceries and gas containers into the storage trunk while Brooklynn stood soundlessly watching JJ.
"Where is he?" Kiara asked, referring to John B.
"Give him a second, Kie. He'll be here," Pope assured.
Just then, a Kildare County Sheriff's vehicle pulled up next to the dock. The pogues all began to panic until they saw John B hop out of the truck.
"No way!"
"No effing way..."
"I'm sorry..?"
"You've gotta be kidding me."
"Shoupe let me take it for a spin," John B shortly explained.
"Okay, that's totally believable," Kiara sarcastically said, "I'll buy that for now."
Each pogue took a turn hugging their best friend. Brooklynn noticed John B had a wardrobe change.
"Is that Topper's?" Brooklynn asked, gesturing to his kooky outfit.
"It's a long story," John B shrugged.
"You ready to go?" JJ asked.
"Ye- Wait, where's Sarah?" John B halted.
"Sarah was meant to be coming?" Brooklyn asked.
"Yeah, yeah. She said she'd meet me here..."
"We haven't seen her, man," Pope answered for the group.
"Okay, well I'm not leaving without her," John B stubbornly stated.
"I know you feel bad for leaving without her, but there's no time, man," JJ said, "You got plenty of gas and food. Once you get around the point, it's a straight shot to Dismal Swamp, okay? And then you cross the border at Brownsville. You got that?"
John B nodded at the directions JJ gave him, "Yeah, Brownsville. I got it."
"Alright then, saddle her up, saltwater cowboy, let's do this!" JJ said.
"Hey, wait..." John B sighed.
"What's up?" Kiara asked.
"I'm sorry for basically throwing us off a cliff with this whole treasure hunt thing," John B apologized, tears falling from his eyes.
"We were bound to run off a cliff at some point right?" JJ joked, "At least we did it together tho."
JJ wrapped threw his arms over his friends' shoulders, everybody else repeating his action.
