"lets try to go back, if we're fast enough, we can find a way out."
everyone looked at me, nodding in agreement.
"okay, maybe we can avoid toro if we find an access vent, or..."
we all stopped, toro stood in front of us. there was silence for a couple of seconds.
everyone backed up as I walked to the front.
toro and I held eye contact, I whispered to everyone, "run."
toro roared, they all scrambled away but I stayed there.
I heard darius yelp, he had fallen. I quickly pulled him up and pushed him out the way as toro dug his teeth into me.
pain flooded my senses, but I didnt scream, I just accepted my fate. like daughter like parents I guess.
darius screamed, I looked at him, "run..please."
he shook his head, unable to move, when yaz suddenly came back for him.
I watched as they both ran away.
as I felt life leave me, I only thought of one person.

my ben.
my beautiful, brave, disturbed, strong, sweet ben.
my only regret was that I never truly got to tell him how I felt.
oh well, at least I get to be with my parents now.
