"is this..brimfords bunker?"

"yeah, it is"

my voice reminded darius that he had fallen on top of me.

he quickly got up and apologized as I laid there, the air knocked out of my lungs.

he helped me up and we all started to look around

"check this place out.."

I walked up to a photograph of me, owen, and brimford.

I remembered that day as if it was yesterday.

brimford was playing, and I decided to not bet that day, but owen did.

it ended up bad for owen, as brimford lost, and they were both forced into dresses and pretended to be princesses.

I chuckled at the memory, ben came up behind me and hugged me, I turned around shocked.

"Im sorry, I didnt meant to be cold."

I smiled and hugged him back, "its okay"

me and ben walked up to a table, "it must have its own power generator!" he concluded, as the table turned around, revealing chess pieces and cards that disregarded the laws of physics.

I looked at the cards, then at ben, "I dont know how to play poker, but im a god at spider, wanna play?" I asked, holding up the cards.

he laughed but declines, opting to build a house with the cards

yep. the boy I love everybody.

the bookshelf brooklyn was inspecting suddenly came down, turning into a bed.

darius sat down on a chair, when a picture frame fell and a tv appeared.

"guys!" he called out.

we walked over to him, brimford appeared on screen.

"well hello friends! if youre watching this, it means youve made it to my bunker. which means you followed my clues! thank you, for believing in me."

I chuckled, tears starting to form. I sniffled as I wiped them away.

"he mustve recorded it for you and owen" darius said, I could see ben look at me in concern.

"unfortunately, it also means that my worst fears have come true. the island belongs to the dinosaurs, and we have no one to blame but ourselves for giving them abilites they shouldnt possess."

"he tried to warn people, but they just wrote him off" brooklyn said.

"the boy who cried wolf" I mumbled.

"I fear as long as the people who run this place fancy themselves gods, our world is doomed to once again belong to the dinosaurs..and no y/n, it is not "cool""

I smile, he knew me so well. he was like an uncle to me. he was like family.

and thats what he was too me. he was the uncle that gave me and my "older brother", owen, shots when my dad wasnt looking. we were a family.

"but for now, please enjoy all that the bunker has to offer. In fact, im sure you must be hungry from your journey! so dont be shy, the food pantry's just there on the right, uh...sorry your right! your right not mine!" brimford laughed, "oh, and dont you worry, you'll make it off this island, I know you will! your smart and pure of heart."

they all looked at each other and smiled, while I was more interested in the food, but before I could get to the pantry, I was surprised.

"and y/n, if.."

I stopped in my tracks and made my way back to the screen, standing in front of it.

"if your somehow there, I just want to say, im proud of you. I really am. your an amazing kid y/n, and im so proud of you."

the breath was knocked out of me. I stood there, mouth agape as he held up his fist, "hey, dont leave me hangin' man"

shakily I lifted my fist up, making contact with the screen. I watched as brimford counted down from three to one.

on one we separated, mimicking an explosion with our fist bump.

"boww"
"boww.."

I watched as he turned of the camera. tears rolled out as I stood there, motionless.

It was funny. I was successful, I was rich, I was beautiful. I was amazing at anything I did. but yet, I never had anyone tell me that they were proud of me.

"so thats where you got it from?" darius asked, looking at the screen.

I nodded, "yeah"

ben guided me to the bed and sat down next to me.

"you okay?"

I nodded, smiling as I wiped the tears away, "yeah, I just..that hit hard" I laughed as I caught some food sammy had thrown at me.

"this place is joy. why dont we crash here from now on?" kenji proposed.

"because your big back self will eat this all in a day" I said, laughing as he threw a pillow at me, "ow! I was joking asshole!"

"hm, im sure tarbo and all the other dinosaurs that know about this place now will love that! they'd get snacks too, us." yaz said.

"besides, this place is already a little tight for all of us, and not to mention hap."

I gasped, "oh my god I forgot about him..do you think hes okay?"

everyone stayed quiet, "uh..im sure he's fine" brooklyn said.

- on the other side of the island.

hap sat on the coach, eyes widen open as he refused to sleep before the kids got back

- back to the campers.

"okay, we'll bring back as much food as we can all carry, that means you too kenji"

a groan from kenji left us laughing. finishing my food, I got up and explored.

I walked over to a bookshelf and was about to pull out a folder when darius called me over again.

"c'mon y/n! we're going home!"
