Millie's POV

I stared dumbfoundedly at the squirming mass of green feathers in my hand for one... two...

"OW! Did you just-" In my shock and pain, I dropped the bird to clutch my now-bleeding hand.

This being the fourth dimension, Kiwi disappeared as soon as I dropped him.

"Did you just-" Christina echoed my words, then sent an appraising look my way. "Blossom, she's way better than either of us were. She just summoned Kiwi!"

Blossom produced a handkerchief and offered it to me. "The real question is, where did Kiwi go?"

"Uhhh-" To be honest, I had no clue. My only thought when dropping Kiwi had been, "OW!" and "Wait, was that Kiwi?!" For all I knew, Kiwi might be causing explosions in the Aetherions' kitchen, waddling away without looking back (because cool birds don't look back at the explosions they cause).

"Well, usually when I drop an object, it goes back to my most traumatic memories. It's hard to say whether those memories are traumatic because I drop so many things in them, or if I drop those things because I'm emotionally tied to them, but..."

"Would the fact that the last time I saw Kiwi was one of my most traumatic memories have any influence on the matter?" I asked.

"Uh, yes, very much so. Oh." Blossom and Christina seemed to realize around the same time as me that Kiwi was right back where he started - or, when he started.

"Save the dang bird!" Christina insisted, her blue eyes exceptionally bright... Huh, her eyes almost glowed. Weird.

"I'll try, but I'm not really sure how I got him here!" I snapped back, only a little overwhelmed by the whole situation.

I'm sure other girls would have been freaking out way more than I was.

I concentrated on Kiwi again, this time being sure to cement myself into the scene. I was there, along with Harry and Edward. Trident and Andy, too - and the stupid Sealiens. Kiwi was perched atop Andy's shoulder... and...

"Blossom, is she-" Christina started to say, and then I realized the scene I'd been imagining was real

"WOAH!" Younger Me yelled, brandishing her sword. "You won't kill the clams, you hag!"

I looked at my younger self, unimpressed. "Hello, Millie." I turned to examine the rest of the party. "Harry, Edward... Andy. Trident. Kiwi."

Kiwi glared at me.

"Sorry, Kiwi. You surprised me."

Andy regarded me with curiosity. "You know us? You know... Kiwi?" She brought a gentle hand to stroke Kiwi, who practically melted into her familiar touch.

"Yes, I do." I let the matter drop, turning to the ocean we were standing by. "Have you called upon the Oceans yet?"

They all stiffened.

"Who told you we were meeting with the Oceans?" Trident asked suspiciously.

I faced the Oceans. "Hey, Great Oceans of Ye Olden Days That Are Actually Quite Present Right Now, could you do me a favor? It'll save your kingdom's life!"

The Sealiens chittered in disproval. "You can't just summon the Oceans like that! One must undergo the most Ancient of Rituals, with the proper-"

"Actually, dudes, Millie's chill." The Oceans corrected the Sealiens. "Since she's from the 4th dimension and stuff, she's probably only here because she has to, right? I mean, that dimensional scent is just reeking off you. Makes for a great anchor!"
