Satoru tried to help you learn how to wield cursed energy, but he wasn't skilled enough to pass on his knowledge and ability.

You were outside in the Gojo training field, laying down as the sun shined on your skin.

It was a nice moment of tranquility.

"I thought I could teach you... but I don't even know how to use it properly either." Satoru rubbed his neck awkwardly as he watched you close your eyes and enjoy the sunshine.

He folded his hands behind his back and smiled. "You look like you're enjoying yourself. Do you like your new clothes?"

You wore a grey-blue skirt, a buttoned blouse and a light jacket that was pink with strawberries etched on to the fabric. Below your skirt were a white pair of pantyhose and brown leather flats.

You've never worn such nice, comfortable and expensive clothes.

You opened your eyes and looked at Satoru's and said "Yes... I do. Thank you."

He laid beside you as you looked at the clouds and peered up at the sky with you.

"You know, you don't have to be afraid. I won't hurt you." He said as he rolled on to his side and looked at you with a small smile.

You felt his eyes on you as he turned around, making your heart race just a bit and your cheeks to flush. The only boys you've been this close to was with your brothers.

"In fact, I'll protect you." He said softly.

A tear ran down your cheek as a cloud floated over the sun, creating a halo of sunshine around it.

"Why doesn't my family want me?" You asked softly.

His smile faded once you asked him that.

"I..." Satoru was at a loss for words. He didn't understand these complex emotions you were feeling.

But he wanted to help, he just didn't know how.

"I don't know..." Satoru responded.

"Why did you pick me versus the other kids?" You asked.

"That's because you can see curses like me." He said.

"My dad said it was just my imagination." You responded.

He sat up, propping himself on his arm as he said "Well, that's because he can't see them."

"Why can I see them then?" You asked, turning on your side to look at Satoru's captivating eyes.

"Because you have a high enough cursed energy to allow you to see cursed spirits." Satoru responded.

"What's cursed energy?"

Satoru laughed and said "You have so many questions."

You blushed with embarrassment and averted your gaze. Satoru noticed this and said "But, hey, don't worry,"

He pulled your face to look back at him and said "I like answering all your questions."

A small smile appeared on your lips.

Satoru's eyes sparkled at seeing you smile. He'd never seen you do that before.

"Wow! I have never seen you smile before, Y/n-chan. You should do it more. I like it." He said, closing his eyes and grinning at you.

Your blush deepened.

Both of you were taken out of thought when Satoru's assistant called for the two of you, claiming it was dinner time now.

"I'm so hungry! What about you?" Satoru asked.

You nodded your head and said "Me too."

The amount of food that was served was impressive. You were awestruck as food kept coming out of the kitchen as the meal progressed.

You had never eaten so much in one sitting.

You sat at the table with the Gojo's. His Mother amd Father, aunts and uncles and cousins.

Lots of them shared similar features, but none were as striking as Satoru's.

You had noticed that Satoru was put on a pedestal in his family for reasons you weren't sure about.

He was treated like a king at home. You assumed the head of his clan would be treated in such a way, which you were correct about.

Because that's when you leaned Satoru, an eight year old boy, was in fact, head of the Gojo clan.

It was shocking to you. You couldn't ever imagine holding such a leadership position at your age!

The conversation at the dinner table was full of talk of jujutsu and curses. You genuinely didn't understand.

But at least you knew you'd always have food and a warm bed, something that wasn't always promised to you at home.

But it still wasn't home to you.

Throughout the months of being with Satoru, you had lived a true life of luxury.

Satoru was spoiled rotten by the clan, and being his "pet" as his family called you, he took care of you.

Although you despised the dehumanizing term, you soon became accustomed to being treated as such by his family members and staff.

You were always at Satoru's side. Where ever he went, you did too. You did act like you were his puppy.

Satoru would never be seen without you.

And for that reason, you had a strong bond with him. You opened up a lot to Satoru, and learned to trust him.

Because Satoru was so fond of you, the rest of his family were too, despite still viewing you as his pet.

Because everybody relied on Satoru and made sure he had everything he could ever want.

Without Satoru, the Gojo clan would fall into disarray.

Why? You didn't know until later on when you could finally grasp the art of jujutsu sorcery.

Satoru pointed at his angel eyes and said "These are the Six Eyes."

He had a prideful grin on his face as you both were at the playground his assistant had taken you to.

"But there's only two." You said.

"One, two..." You said as you counted with your finger.

Satoru rolled his eyes and sighed. "I know. Thats not what the name means, though."

You scratched your head as you tried to understand. "What does it mean then?"

"The Six Eyes is a jujutsu trait I inherited. My mom and dad say it's a gift— That I'm a special child." Satoru boasted, as he usually did. Overtime, you became accustomed to his bragging.

You smiled softly and said "Is that why you look like an angel?"

Satoru eyes widened as his cheeks flushed. His small heartbeat quickened. He was used to such compliments, but coming from you was different.

Satoru felt— knew— he was superior to everyone he came across, but he had not felt that way with you.

Despite coming from poverty and not knowing how to control your cursed energy like he could, he felt weak around you.

He truly didn't understand why. But, he liked that you awakened new emotions within him.

He hoped you'd continue calling him an angel, because it made him feel all warm on the inside.
