Satoru lifted his eyebrow upon seeing the rather displeased look on your face. That wasn't what he was really achieving of getting from you.

"Why do you look like that? Do you not like it?" Satoru asked.

You swallowed thickly. How could you say no to him? How do you explain somebody had already asked you to the dance before?

"No! I love it!" You quickly said as you smiled at him, although it was clear there was something you weren't telling him.

"Then what's wrong?" He asked.

He hated when things didn't go his way. And so far, his proposal to take you to the dance was not going how he planned.

"Satoru, somebody already asked me to the dance..." You said, frowning slightly.

Satoru felt his stomach churn and he got nauseous at the thought.

But he didn't want to make you feel bad for accepting it. They got to you first.

He had an idea who it was, and he was hoping it wasn't him.

"Oh..." Satoru tried to hide the disappointment in his voice.

"Who beat me to it?" He asked.

You both stood silent for a second. "Suguru asked me and I agreed because I didn't think you were going in the first place."

Satoru's eyes darkened and his aura shifted to being suffocatingly sinister.

Even you were put off by how his mood changed.

He stared at you, no expression on his face yet it was speaking a thousand words.

"I see." He said.

The short and cold responses were out of the ordinary for him.

It scared you.

"I-is everything okay?" You asked as you put your hands on his.

Then, he smiled. The darkness swirling around in his irises being veiled by his typical expression.

He snapped back to his normal self. That was even more concerning.

"Of course. Well, save me for prom then." He said as he pinched your cheek.

You smiled softly, still concerned by the way he reacted.

"Yes, I will. I promise." You said.

He took a few steps back and said "You can keep that as a reminder that I'm taking you to prom."

He flashed you a cheeky grin and left your dorm room.

You looked down at the diamonds sparkling, your mind consumed with a million things.
