A new beginning

As my body fell limp,i waited to feel the pain of hitting the floor... but I didn't. Instead I felt two arms wrap around my back. "Hey! Newbie, nap times over!" A voice said. I fought back the fog that threatened my consciousness and blinked away some fuzz in my vision. When my mind was clear and I could see,I found myself in the arms of the purple rabbit. "Oh! Thanks...."I trailed off,not knowing his name.
"Jax" he said "don't get used to it kid." He let go of me and I had to quickly balance my small body so that it wouldn't fall to the floor.
"My name is...." I stopped abruptly. what IS my name? I desperately searched my brain,trying to remember my name-trying to remember anything- but came up with nothing. My mind was completely wiped. All the people I had known...gone. "Why can't I remember my name? I can't remember ANYTHING!!!" I began to flip out a little. Jax put his hand on my shoulder "that happend to the rest of us." He said , trying to reassure me. I just freaked out even more. What IS this place!?
"nobody can remember their name once they enter the digital circus!" The ringleader said in an optimistic tone,despite the news he had delivered. "But luckily for you,you get to pick a brand new one!" He then went on to quickly recite a list of guidelines for the name,but he was talking at a million miles a minute so I could barely understand what he was saying. When he finished talking,I just blinked in confusion. "So...what'll it be?" He asked me.
I gave it a long thought but nothing came to mind. I was never good with picking names. Or maybe I was,I couldn't tell what was a real fact or not. "I don't know." I said.
"Well we can help with that!" The ringleader explained. I gave it one more try but once again,came up with nothing.
"Sure. I would like some help." I said. Help was always useful.....right? Suddenly a red and yellow box fell out of the sky,the face displaying a bunch of random letters. It was twice my tiny size.
"Caine..do we HAVE to watch this?" The figure made of colorful shapes asked, looking more bored than ever.
"Don't worry zooble! We're nearly done here!" The ringleader-Caine- then pulled a lever on the side of the machine,causing the letters to rotate. "What do you think of 'pomni?'" He read what the letters landed on.
"Hey! That's my name!" The jester told Caine.
"Oops! That one is already taken!" Caine reached for the lever again,but before he could pull it there was a flash of light coming from a hole in the top of the tent,reflecting the sky. The light was coming from a comet shooting across the artificial sky. It was a blue crystal with a pink and purple tail blazing behind it. As quickly as it appeared, it left,everyone staring In shock. Clearly this has never happened before. Just then I got an idea,I knew what my name should be. "Hey..Caine?" I asked nervously "can I be called comet?" Caine looked at me for a heartbeat,then nodded his approval. "Okay then! Welcome to your new home comet!"
