The weeks following their engagement were a whirlwind of joy and excitement. Caddion and Percival decided it was time to share their happiness with their families. Both were aware that this step could bring new challenges but also hoped it would bring additional support and understanding to their relationship.

One crisp Saturday morning, Caddion and Percival set out for Percival’s family home. Located in a charming suburb, Percival's childhood home was a warm and inviting place, filled with memories. As they drove, Caddion felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. Meeting Percival’s family was an important step, and he hoped they would accept him.

“They’re going to love you,”

Percival reassured Caddion, sensing his unease.

“Just be yourself. They’re wonderful people.”

Caddion smiled, squeezing Percival’s hand.

“I know. I just want everything to go well.”

When they arrived, Percival’s parents, Linda and Thomas Lavelion, were waiting at the door, beaming with anticipation. They rushed forward to greet them, enveloping both Percival and Caddion in warm hugs.

“Welcome, welcome!”

Linda exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with joy.

“We’re so happy to finally meet you, Caddion. Percival has told us so much about you.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Lavelion,”

Caddion replied, feeling instantly at ease.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you both.”

“Please, call me Linda. Or even better, call me Mom,”

she said with a warm smile.

“And this is Thomas, but you can call him Tom.”

Tom shook Caddion’s hand firmly.

“Welcome to our home, Caddion. We’ve heard wonderful things about you.”

As they stepped inside, Caddion took in the cozy atmosphere. The living room was adorned with family photos and comfortable furniture, and the scent of freshly baked cookies filled the air.

“Come in, sit down,”

Linda said, leading them to the living room.

“We’ve got some snacks ready, and we can have a proper chat.”

They settled in, and Linda brought out a tray of cookies and tea. Conversation flowed easily as they discussed Caddion and Percival’s work at the hospital, their recent trip to Switzerland, and their engagement.

“So, Caddion, tell us more about yourself,”

Linda said, her curiosity genuine.

“We’d love to hear your story.”

Caddion took a sip of his tea, feeling more comfortable with each passing minute.
