The news came unexpectedly, during a rare quiet evening at the hospital. Percival had been called to a meeting with the hospital board, and as he returned to their shared office, Caddion noticed a mixture of excitement and apprehension on his face.

“Percival, what’s going on?”

Caddion asked, looking up from his paperwork.

Percival took a deep breath and sat down across from Caddion.

“You won’t believe this, Caddion. They’ve offered me the chance to lead a special project.”

Caddion’s eyes widened with surprise and pride.

“That’s incredible! What’s the project about?”

“It’s a new initiative focusing on integrating advanced technology and personalized care in our patient treatment plans,” Percival explained, his voice tinged with enthusiasm. “They want to create a model that other hospitals can replicate. It’s a huge responsibility.”

Caddion leaned forward, a broad smile spreading across his face.

“Percival, this is amazing! You’ve always been at the forefront of innovation. This project sounds perfect for you.”

Percival’s excitement dimmed slightly as he met Caddion’s gaze.

“I know, but it’s a lot to take on. There will be long hours, added stress, and I’m worried about how it will affect us. Our time together is already limited with our busy schedules.”

Caddion reached out and took Percival’s hand.

“I understand your concerns, but you’ve been given an incredible opportunity to make a real difference. You’ve always supported me in my career. Now it’s my turn to support you.”

Percival sighed, squeezing Caddion’s hand.

“I don’t want to neglect our relationship. We’ve been through so much together, and I don’t want anything to come between us.”

“We’ll find a way to balance it,”

Caddion assured him.

“Our relationship is strong because we support each other’s dreams. This project is your dream, Percival. Don’t let fear hold you back.”

Percival looked into Caddion’s eyes, seeing the unwavering support there.

“You’re right. I’ve always wanted to lead something like this. And with you by my side, I know I can handle it.”

Caddion smiled, his heart swelling with pride.

“Absolutely. And remember, we’re a team. Whatever challenges come our way, we’ll face them together.”

With Caddion’s encouragement, Percival decided to accept the project leadership. The following weeks were a whirlwind of planning, meetings, and preparation. Percival’s days became longer, filled with strategy sessions and brainstorming, while Caddion juggled his duties at the hospital and his father’s care.
