Isabella's pov

Immediately I woke up, I was attacked by a pounding headache is what you expected me to say right?
Wrong!
I just opened my eyes to see that I was in a light blue room with the lights dimmed
How did you see the colour of the room if the lights are dimmed?
It's not that dim
But it literally close to dark
Whatever

I sat up slowly and took the time to process my current position. It looked like I was in  a hospital room, I had an IV plunged into my hand and an oxygen mask on my face
Bruh what happened?
Matteo walked in just as I sat up(does that make sense😂😭) removing the oxygen mask in the process
He looked around and I concluded that he didn't know I was awake but then he undimmed the lights (is undimmed a word?😂😭😭)

Matteo's eyes landed on me once the light turned on and seeing that I was awake he rushed towards me
"Bella!" He pulled me into a hug and I flinched when he grabbed me but he didn't seem to care so no worries people
"You good?" I hummed looking around the room before turning my gaze back to him
"What happened?" I asked confused as to why I was in a hospital room
"I guess your brain's a bit fuzzy" Matteo mumbled to himself to which I raised an eyebrow to
"Well Cayden-" I cut him off with a gasp

"Is he okay?" I gasped getting on my knees as I scooted closer to him but hissed when I pulled on the arm with the IV
"Careful" Matteo said taking my hand with the IV and rubbing circles on it
"Is he okay?" He rolled his eyes at the question but still answered anyways
"He's okay Isa" He said holding my hands now and looking right into my eyes. I heaved a sigh of relief

"Good" I muttered to myself looking at our hands before snapping my head back up
"Where's dad?" Matteo sighed while shaking his head
I wonder why?
"He just stepped out to check on the other examinees so he told me to watch you" He let go of one of my hands to get his phone from his pocket and started typing with just one hand
Now that's what I call mad skills
Factss

"I just texted him. He's on his way" He said turning off his phone putting it on the bedside table
"But I don't want to distract him from his work"
"You being in here is distracting him already so let him know that you're okay, okay?" I nodded my head turning to look at the door. Matteo's phone rang from the bedside table and he answered it

"Ya? Okay.." He looked at me worried before continuing the conversation
"I don't think so. She's kinda in dazed state. U didn't tell him right? Okay. Ugh he's coming anyways!? Fine"
He ended the call with a worried look on his face and my face pretty much showed confusion
"Uhmm Matteo?" I called out to hesitantly making him turn to me

"See Bella...uhmm, how do I explain this?" Matteo raked a hand through his hair probably nervous
Ya think?
He abruptly stood up and started pacing left and right
"Can you stop, you're making me dizzy?" I said smiling at him so it could ease his nerves a bit. He stopped in his tracks kneeling down to take my hands again
Talk about dramatic

"Bella you gotta stay calm for me, can you do that?" He said looking into my eyes with all seriousness
Is it me that needs that or you?
I swallowed my thoughts while swallowing my own nerves now and nodded silently
The door opened and I heard a voice that sounded familiar. 
Too familiar

"Calm down Dad. She just reminds of Izzy so I'm going to check on her. Nothing more nothing less"
Izzy?
My head turned to the door to see a boy had opened it. He had his back turned to me as he was talking to someone behind him
Then all of a sudden he was yanked back, hushed whispers came from behind the door and when they stopped Dad emerged out of it

"Isa" Dad sighed in relief walking to me and bringing me into a hug. I hugged Dad back before asking the same question I asked Matteo
"Is Cayden okay?" And he had the same reaction as Matteo.
He rolled his eyes! The audacity of these people honestly
One of those people is your Dad
Exactly!

"He's fine Isa. The question is are you fine?" Dad asked coming out of the hug and holding me by my shoulders
"I'm fine Dad" I said putting my hand on his hand that was still on my shoulder
My gaze returned to the door were the boy was standing a few moments ago

"Dad who was that at the door?" I said still looking at the door before turning to Dad with questioning eyes
"Uhmm.." Dad shared a look with Matteo before he looked at me again
"You can worry about that later but first let's get you out of this room"
Who was that boy?
And why wasn't dad letting him see me?
His voice sounded very familiar though
Like I've heard it before
And for some reason my stomach started churning

I never liked to question Dad and what he does cause there's always a reason and I wasn't gonna start
"Okay" I looked at the door again before I looked at my hands finally noticing that I  was still in my exam clothes with all the spy gear gone
"Where did the gadgets go to?" I asked Dad raising my hand up a bit for him to understand
"Oh they took it off when the IV was being put in" I nodded and we sat in silence for a few seconds before Matteo decided to break it

"I'll go get someone to take the IV out" Matteo said standing up and walking towards the door, Dad hummed in response but before he could reach the door it swung open
"Okay I know I said I would wait outside but I thought why should I wait outside so i decided to come inside and then-"
He stopped rambling when his eyes fell on me and they widened with shock

My eyes widened too as I took in the boy standing in front of me. The voice that I had been waiting to hear for three years was finally heard
"Isabel?"
