Hayaan.

I couldn't stop smiling, the excitement just wouldn't die down and I didn't want it to.
I kept staring at her.
"Are you planning on staying awake the whole night?" She asks as she opens her eyes.

"You're—awake" I stammer.
"Yeah, I could feel your eyes on me even as I dreamt".
I scoff.

She says nothing just staring at the ceiling.
"Are you happy?"
She looked at me, confused "Of course I'm happy, as long as I remain with you I'll be happy".
I shake my head "Not that, I know you wanted to wait a bit more before having a child, are you happy? Or is this you just accepting fate?"

She sits up, interlacing my fingers with hers "Canim, I just said that then because I was afraid you only married me for children and a stable home. It was only out of fear and I intentionally stopped taking the pills. I just want to have a family, I want you to be a father and now—I can't explain in words how happy I am".

Have you ever had a feeling, where in that moment the love and feelings you have for someone hits you so much you become motionless, where you don't know whether to hug them or kiss them of carry them and you just sit wondering how and why that person makes you feel that way—in that moment you're completely taken you don't know what to do?
That's how this moment felt for me.

I'll be honest when I first approached Amaya I did it because I felt she would be the perfect mother and wife but as time went on I realized she is more than that, she's my soulmate and my entire world.

"You're quiet".
"I'm just speechless"
She chuckles "Just say you love me".
I smirk "How about I show you?"
"Nooooo!" She dramatically moves away, I couldn't help but laugh, we both did.

She lies back as the laughter dies.
"So, I was thinking of telling everyone the news at the dinner tomorrow".

Well, it's tradition to have dinner on every birthday, just family and everyone has to be present.
"I can't think of a better time, have you told Mama?"
She nods "After I told you, I'll go see my brothers during the week".

"The phone won't be enough?"
She shakes her head "Nope but do you think she'll show up tomorrow?"
"Who?"
"Sana".

I sigh.
I'll be honest, I really don't want to get between whatever is going on, I'd have to be on my wife's side and if Jazeel is on his wife's side—which he will be then it might cause a rift between us so I've made a vow to let them handle it, I met them together, I'll let them handle it so.

I shrug "Probably but don't cause a scene, tomorrow you're there for Umma and no one else, okay?"
She nods "But if she tries anything I'm not backing down".

I sigh.
"Remember not to mess anything up, tomorrow is not about you it's not about Ersana and it's not about me it's not about any of us. It's about Umma, and I don't want my wife to cause problems with family present so please whatever beef you have with Ersana do not make a scene and just enjoy the day. Are we good?"

"Yeah we're good. Will you try to sleep now because I'm so sleepy and I don't intend to leave you awake so let's sleep".
"If we have an understanding then why not".

Third Person POV.

Parties weren't really Ersana's thing, she always found them unnecessary and pointless, probably because when she was younger her family celebrated every single milestone. Her first teeth, her first word, her first step, her first day in school, her first A in school and more. She always felt they just wanted a reason to celebrate but she didn't mind them, she got gifts with every celebration.
