2 Years Later.

"You've got to be kidding me". Mahmoud sits in the middle of the court.
We came to play basketball, we finished playing an hour ago but we've been seated here talking since then.

"Well, he's your father. He must have had a reason for doing it" Hayaan says trying to reassure him.
"Really? Baba is incapable of—" he gets cut off when his phone starts ringing.

He groans and picks up.
"I'm leaving now, I'll get them for you".

"I promise".

"Anything else?"

"Which bakery?"

"I don't really like that one. The bread has a funny taste"

"Why sliced though? I prefer the buns"

"They're eating it for lunch in school I don't think anyone checks or cares what kind of bread their sandwich is made with"

"That's why I love you".

"None at all. Bye".

He sighs when he ends the call "She ordered these acrylic jugs a few months back and they finally arrived so she asked me to pick them up for her".
"What the hell is an acrylic jug?" Hayaan asks looking so confused.

"It looks plastic but—honestly I wonder too. It looks like normal plastic to me but she insists it's acrylic so I go with it and she sells those stuff".
"Really? The wife has been thinking of busting some things".

He smiles "Really? We should have a double date, get them close so we can have time to ourselves".
Hayaan shakes his head "Sorry but unlike you Amaya and I have only been married for 6months so we're still not over each other—still in our honeymoon stage but the double date and them getting to know each other doesn't sound so bad and admittedly it might be a good opportunity to try out my new game console".

I sigh "Game console? What are you 80?"
"PlayStation?" Mahmoud asks.

"No, Xbox Series X".
"How about next weekend?"
"Perfect".

It kinda felt weird feeling left out. This is something I would want, for my wife to get to know theirs because they're like my brothers and we've always talked about having our wives be friends. It didn't happen at first when Hayaan married Fatima because she's stuck up.

"What about Ersana? She's back, right?" Mahmoud asks "If she's not so busy or exhausted she could join".

Hayaan and I look at each other and say nothing.
Sana and I have been married a year and 7months but she got posted for work, it was supposed to be for a year but it lasted 14months. She got back a few days ago and I could give that as an excuse but the real reason would be her feud with Amaya. Somehow they're still not on talking terms—she seems to really dislike her and like I said back then, I'm not interfering.

"She hasn't really been feeling too good because of the drastic change in weather but if she gets better before then, we'll definitely be joining" I stand "Before we all have our phones blowing up I think we should shower and make our way home".

"Right on".

I sigh as I close the front door.
The house completely dark. I didn't bother putting them on as I make my way in.
"Sana?" I call out as I made my way upstairs "Sana?"

But they was no response.
What if she never came back home?
But when I called her before I left for the gym she told me that she was on her way.

"Sana?" I call out once more as I opened her bedroom door and there she was, on her bed sleeping.
I walk over and sit next to her.
She looked exhausted and drained, I couldn't help but feel bad for her.
