The room felt like a cage.

The walls seemed to close in on Felicity, pressing down with the weight of everything that had happened. Poppy's lifeless eyes, the horror of the demon, Alex's betrayal—it all swirled in their mind, a chaotic storm that refused to abate. Felicity's breathing quickened, their chest tightening as panic clawed its way to the surface.

Their hand reached for the drawer, trembling as they fumbled for the release they so desperately craved. Tears blurred their vision, but the cold steel was unmistakable. As they gripped the blade, a sob tore from their throat, the weight of everything crashing down on them.

"Fliss Floss?"

Juno's voice was soft, hesitant, as she stood in the doorway. Felicity froze, the blade slipping from their grasp and clattering to the floor. Juno crossed the room in a few quick strides, her eyes wide with concern.

"Hey, hey," she murmured, kneeling in front of Felicity. She took their hands gently in hers, her touch warm and grounding. "It's okay. You're safe. I'm here."

Felicity's sobs subsided into shaky breaths; their eyes locked onto Juno's. The weight of their panic began to lift, replaced by the comforting presence of the girl they had long admired.

"Juno," Felicity whispered, their voice breaking. "I can't... I can't deal with this. Seeing Poppy like that, I... I can't handle it."

Juno's expression softened; her eyes filled with empathy. "I know, Fliss Floss. I know it's hard. But you're not alone. We'll get through this together."

Felicity nodded, the tears still flowing but less violently now. "I... I thought about..." They glanced at the blade on the floor, unable to finish the sentence.

Juno followed their gaze and gently cupped Felicity's face in her hands. "Hey, don't do that. Please. You mean so much to all of us. You mean so much to me."

There was a vulnerability in Juno's eyes that Felicity hadn't seen before, a raw honesty that made their heart ache. "Juno, I... I've always had feelings for you," Felicity admitted, their voice barely a whisper. "I just never knew how to tell you."

A smile ghosted across Juno's lips. "Fliss Floss, I've always had feelings for you too. I just never had the courage to say it."

The air between them crackled with unspoken words, a connection that had always been there but had remained just out of reach. Slowly, tentatively, Juno leaned in, her lips brushing against Felicity's in a soft, hesitant kiss.

Felicity's heart surged, a warmth spreading through them as they returned the kiss, the world outside fading into insignificance. The kiss deepened, their movements becoming more assured, more passionate. In that moment, all their fears, all their doubts melted away, leaving only the two of them, bound together by an unspoken understanding.

As they pulled back, breathless, Juno's eyes shone with a mixture of affection and longing. "I want to be here for you, Fliss Floss. Through everything."

Felicity nodded; their heart full. "Me too, Juno. Me too."

They shared another kiss, and then another, the intensity of their emotions culminating in a night of tenderness and passion. The room was filled with whispered words and gentle touches, a shared vulnerability that brought them closer than ever before.

As they lay together afterward, wrapped in each other's arms, Felicity felt a sense of peace they hadn't known in a long time. The darkness still loomed, the memories still haunted them, but for now, they had found a sanctuary in each other.

Juno held Felicity close, her presence a soothing balm to the raw edges of their soul. They didn't need to say "I love you" yet; the words were there, unspoken but understood. For now, it was enough to simply be together, to find solace in each other's embrace.

And as the first light of dawn began to filter through the curtains, Felicity knew that whatever came next, they would face it with Juno by their side.
