The unforgiving limbo rages still.. Every glowing cell scattered into the abyss.

Nothing and everything.

Powerless. I can't do anything about it. Can't even think of anything but the painful numbness of the void and the overwhelming abyss. It makes me hate how it feels like Ive been stuck for forever, and not even a second has passed till all at once it hits you again.

In a snap, I experience myself become solid. The pain once again goes away. It left me with a lingering numbness in my eyes.

I realised I'm standing as my bare feet hit cold concrete.

Bit nippy this time, definitely... I thought before the winter chill blew through my bedraggled self. Nope, this is more than nippy. It's freezing.

I opened my eyes to find that a world too bright and rich with colors, impairing my vision very much.

Oh great. This again. Why do I always get blinded after switching settings? I suffer like a player stuck on the loading screen! ... I swear if this is a simulation or some crap--

I stop my inner ranting when I hear the noise of traffic in the distance and...

Christmas songs?

At least it's urban.. meaning there are people about!

A hoorah and oh no.

I grumbled, feeling the path I'm walking with my freezing toes, blind as a mole. Seeing the space shift and materialize, I keep on stumbling and stubbing my toes on nothing. It wasn't wise to move like this, but the sound of cars getting near made the hairs on my arms stand on end more than the cold do. Moving away is my sole option. So, I must locate where the curb is. Simple right?

Fortunately, it is a multiple-choice option where I get to pick any direction! 360!

Unfortunately... I seem to have picked the perfect direction that took me...

Right where it's gonna hit me.

There was a loud horn overlaying a shout of anger and fear.

"GET OUT OF THE ROAD!"

Followed by screeching of strong brakes, burning smell of rubber tyres and groans of pain afterwards.

I didn't know where to 'get out' till I 'see' a big solid metal box of fear and shock zoom towards me, barely having the sense to move away to avoid getting hit.

Sprawled on the ground, I froze. My heart beating out of my chest because of the adrenaline rush. I sat up slowly, feeling every bruise, old and new flare with pain. I tried to shake away the remaining light in my eyes as best I could.

Jeebus crisp crackin... Did I just spidey tingled away from certain death? Holy shit... WAIT!

The box has people--!!

I turned to see the blob of fear and shock had screech to a halt a few feet from where I sat. Thankfully, upright and lively.

When the car doors opened and closed, the sounds of angry stomps of the agitated driver were coming towards me.

"OI! AR' YOU MAD?! What are ya doin' in a middle of da road?! You got a death wish of sumthin?!?!?" the driver, I guessed based on the earlier holler, shouted at me yet again.

His anger looks like an intense blob. The way it spouts from the boiling kettle that is him was almost palpable and I can't blame him. My reckless action of walking blind posed a threat to him and his passengers. I'd be furious at myself if I don't hurt every time I breathe so. Ohh, I'm never doing that again.
