Memories - Gen Asigiri

~ Chapter 13 ~

The light that shone from the shed in the forest was brighter than any star in the sky. Well, maybe not, but considering that Y/N hadn't seen artificial light in over three thousand years, it sure seemed like it was brighter than any star. She wasn't up close, but she could tell it was a lightbulb of some sort that the Kingdom of Science had put together. Not only was it a stepping stone for Scientists of the old age and the new age, it was a beacon for hope for Y/N, and others alike.

Y/N felt a rush of excitement weigh down her chest as a bright smile grew across her face while the light quickly died out. She could barely believe that in just this short amount of time, Senku had truly come this far. They were progressing fast, completely disregarding the threat that the Tsukasa empire— or the threat of Tsukasa himself— truly posed on their scientific nation.

Though one villager in particular did not like this fact. He had felt threatened by the 'sorcerer' he saw performing those mind games, well magic tricks. That man would be Magma. He had been the toughest in the village for years, earning second only to Kohaku in the Grand Bout the year prior. He was blonde, with humongous arms, big enough to easily crush a watermelon. Along with a scary face that had the worst resting expression and very untamed eyebrows. Him and his little gang of three were scheming. Scheming something bad.

Over at the Science Shed~

The man clad in purple was strolling away from the shed, on his way back to the Tsukasa empire. Which was when he abruptly stopped as he heard shouting coming the top of the ladder. "Listen up Gen! I know you saw the electricity. The light! That's what badass science at work looks like, so why care about who wins? Why even give a crap about who has the edge? Cause the Kingdom of Science is way better!" Chrome shouted at the top of his lungs. Trying to convince the man who was similar to a mercenary in his morals. The man who would be on whoever's side who could provide for him. The man who was already leaning towards the Kingdom of Science because of a certain someone who he was yet to see with his own eyes since he was a child. Someone who he had dearly missed over all these years. Someone who was stuck in his head, or at least in the back of his mind for years on end.

"Oh is that so? Why you are the passionate type aren't you? Too bad for you i don't really care about that." Gen let the lie flow from him like oxygen. With his hands raised in a surrendering way he finished his thoughts, "I'm probably the most superficial man on earth. All I consider is what's beneficial to me." Gen let his hands back down to his normal resting position and began to walk off again. Even though Kohaku held up a knife, only being stopped by Senku and Suika.

Gen began his stroll, crossing the tree line and walking into the forest. He stopped to look at the two copper plates they had put together. The 'generator' that was the first step to getting back civilization. Which was when someone swung their fist straight into the side of Gens face. Causing blood to fly out of his nose and mouth. The person pummeled him into a tree, only stopping to let Gen fall to the ground before going at it again. The blood in his nose blocking his airway, so he resorted to breathing through his mouth. Breathing only second to letting out moans in pain.

"Who are...?" Gen coughed out as the person raised their spear, "why?" he finished as the person slammed their spear into the middle of agents torso and took off.

Quickly after, Chrome and Kohaku arrived on scene, Senku and Suika were close behind. The first two gasping when they saw the state the man was in, "Holy crap what happened?" Chrome said as he bent down to investigate, "Damn it. Looks like he died instantly." Kohaku added on.

When Senku got to Gens side he took a look at Gen and told the others to hold on before ripping the spear out of the man's chest. The spear came out with a pack of fake blood and a scrap of gens clothing on it. Gen had used fake blood to protect himself which showed impressive. Though he still was in critical condition but regardless, he was alive. "Suika, go get Y/N and bring her to the science shed. She will know what to do." Senku ordered as Chrome and Kohaku lifted gen up to transport him. The young girl nodded before speeding away in the direction of the village.

Suika quickly arrive at where Y/N was currently tucked in bed snoozing away when she hopped through the window and started to shake Y/N in order to wake her up. Y/N's eyes slowly fluttered open, when she saw Suika in a panic which caused to shoot awake. "Suika? what's wrong?" Y/N asked in a calm manner, though her calm manner wasn't enough to calm Suika as the young girl spoke like she was in a race. "S-Someone hurt him! He's dying!" She said as Y/N stood up, throwing her shoes on. Y/N could only think the worse. She didn't know exactly who was hurt but it sounded bad. Y/N pulled her dress down to her mid calf and was out the door with her stone age first aid kit in hand. She ran to keep up with Suika as they made it to the Science shed. Senku, Kohaku, and Chrome had already gotten Gen there and were now working on stopping the bleeding. Y/N climbed inside only to see Gen lying on the floor, knocking on deaths door.

Y/N's breath hitched as she took in the sight before her, but she couldn't stay frozen for long so she got to work. She took note of how he was fading in and out of consciousness and how Gens breathing was raspy. She knelt down to him and took out the supplies her and Senku needed to help him. Gen looked at Y/N and said in a slurred voice, "Y/N? Am I dreaming?"

Y/N was working quickly, stuffing the wounds that needed it, and wrapping the others with ointment and bandages. "Let me help you. We will talk later." Y/N finished as she stayed focused. She needed to stabilize him. Little did she know, that was the last thing the love-dazed man heard before his senses went dark.

Update on my injury, still on crutches and there's a chance i might have to have surgery fml
