"Gen! He vanished!"
Those were the only words that filled Y/N's mind even though there was chatter going on. She had just got him back, after disappearing from his sight all those years ago. Only to find out that he was now disappearing on her. The small basket full of medicinal herbs that Y/N had been carrying with her fell from her arms with a hard 'plop' as it hit the dirt floor. She didn't run but she significantly increased her pace over to the Science She only to see that yes, the man that lived rent free in her mind all of these years had truly vanished.
Somewhere in the forest between the Tsukasa empire and the Kingdom of Science...
'huahh hhhh' Gen panted as he raced through the forest, breaking through vines and sticks as he rushed to get back to the Tsukasa empire.
Gen POV:
I knew by now that at least Senku had discovered my disappearance and they were probably on their way to tell Y/N. That is if she didn't already find out some how.
'I wish i could have seen her face properly. It would have been even better if I could actually have gotten a chance to talk to her too.' I thought to myself as pain screamed through out my body. I knew that the villagers were probably thinking by now that i had gone off to spill the beans to big bad Tsukasa about how, no he didn't truly get killed and he some how survived having his spinal cord severed. Though knowing Senku and Y/N, even if it was for just a short time, I know that they are both smart enough to figure out why I'm doing what i'm doing at the moment.
End POV and back at the Kingdom of Science...
"Yeah I'm sure he went off to good old Tsukasa." Senku said with his left pinky in his ear as Y/N approached the group after taking a moment to calm herself down.
"This is bad! We have to go after him, but why would he sneak off like that?" Chrome questioned as he held onto the ladder, making his way down back to the ground. "That bat bastard better not tell Tsukasa that Senku's alive." Kohaku replied as she quickly prepared herself to set off running towards the direction Gen's foot prints led off to.
Though before Kohaku could get and further than a few steps, Y/N interjected. "No. Leave him be. Gen won't put us at risk. We have to trust him." Y/N kept a few of her thoughts to herself but if she was correct, Gen wouldn't put her at risk. Or any further risk than she was already in, if he truly believed that she was alive.
Senku added onto her sentence, "Plus he wouldn't break his promise to me. Not with what he wants on the line."
In the Tsukasa Empire's throne room...
Pew! An arrow flew down from a ledge right in between Gen's feet as he was running to get to Tsukasa's throne. The man clad in a yellow outfit with a matching hat only stared at the man that had fallen onto the ground, gripping his long bow in his left hand.
"Wait Tsukasa! It's me!" Gen said, panting as he attempted to slow his breathing to regain the ability to speak a plausible sentence. Even though there were at least twenty men with a hand full of women in the mix in the vicinity, that were probably three times Gen's size, the man in purple never retreated. He donned a grin as he began his report. "I found a primitive village. I got in to a fight with them but I only ended up slightly injured." Gen took another deep breath as he lifted his head to look Tsukasa in the eyes.
"And Senku was gone without a trace." Gen snapped up with a smile and his fingers pointed in different directions. Giving a damn good facade of a honest, truth telling individual. He didn't quiver as he saw Tsukasa sitting on his throne resting his chin on his palm, his gaze was dark until he heard the news that Senku was dead. "He's dead! Dead without a doubt!" Gen reassured his previous sentence with a confident tone of voice that would fool any great psychologist.
Back at the Kingdom of Science...
"So Gen is joining the Kingdom of Science?" Chrome questioned with a dumbfounded look on his face.
Y/N looked at Senku, and realized that he wasn't joking. The green haired man had truly convinced Gen to stay. "Then hopefully he will just wander back like nothing happened in the first place." Y/N said with an uncomfortable laugh that showed quite clearly that she was worried about Gen. After all, it was the first time she had seen him up close in three thousand years and he had been beaten to the brink of death. The only thing saving him had been his stupid magic tricks and the fact that they had found him so fast. If they hadn't gotten him medical attention, even if it hadn't been modern medicine or anything close to it, he probably would've died right then and there.
"Looks like the first battle between the Tsukasa Empire and the Kingdom of Science, the fight for Asigiri Gen, ends in the victory of the Kingdom of Science." Kohaku stated proudly as she gazed up at the flag of the Kingdom of Science as it waved in the wind. Y/N just snorted a laugh because she thought that whole line was pretty cheesy. Though she knew that the blonde was correct. With Gen on their side, on her side, maybe things wouldn't be so bad after all.
