Extended Summary

Johanna Kaufmann and Javy Machado met at a bar. They drank together, laughed together and, as it sometimes happens, spent the night together.

But after Jo gets a call, she leaves him without a goodbye. No note, no text. Just sneaks out of his apartment and goes on with her life.

Unfortunately for both parties, they can't get each other out of their heads.

Jo consumes most of Javy's thoughts when he's not at work. His flirting game is off, he doesn't have the drive to go for even the most attractive women and his best friend, callsign Hangman, notices.

Javy, in turn, consumes a lot of Johanna's thoughts. She's focused at work, not wanting to put her team at risk if she's not 100%. But when her teammate and best friend, Kensi, notices she isn't as interested in staking out local bars, she gets curious.

This goes on for over a year until one day, Jo gets notified that her expertise is needed at Top Gun, her history with the program only another asset.

So this death defying mission now has raised stakes. Well, even more so than before.

Can Jo and Javy have any sort of relationship when one of them refuses to acknowledge the elephant in the room?

Here we go!! NCIS is one of my favorite shows, been watching it probably before I should have.
