Prologue

The vending machine.

Rindou Haitani, everyday before classes start and after classes ended, always goes there.

The only time he's alone, without Ran.

It's not that he doesn't like to be with Ran. But it's the only time he can bury himself in his thoughts.

He loves Ran. Him and Ran are inseparable. But he gets tired of living in his shadow.

Every girl notices Ran first.
He's taller, he's skinnier, he's better looking.

And whenever people talk to him it's just so they can get closer to Ran.

Don't get him wrong; he has admirers himself and he gets confessed to too. But he's not really interested.

He feels an envy for his brother. He wishes he could be as charismatic, as strong, as good looking, as popular as Ran.

He knows he's good looking too. But if you get compared to your brother ever since you're born you get tired of it easily.

He's the second born... The second most popular, the second strongest, the second smartest, he's second in everything and his brother is the first.

He's always the second choice.

And when he goes to that very same vending machine all the time he has time to think for himself.

No one dares to bother him because his resting bitch face scares people.

But what would happen if someone wasn't scared of him?

What would happen if someone showed him how to live? Not just for his brother and with his brother. But to live for himself too.

He just needs someone who compliments his calmness.

And has patience.

A lot of patience...

But Rindou Haitani didn't think how much that same vending machine will affect his life soon...
