VIRION ERALITH

With Aya by my side, we ran towards the portal leading to Xyrus City.

Closing my eyes, the memories earlier started to pop up.

"What else did Lance Alea include in her call?" Blaine asked Alduin.

"She just asked for a back up, she said that they needed help because there was a being that was out of her reach."

"I was about to send Aya, but she added that she needed Varay."

(Just let it be, I can't find a better reason to send Varay than Aya.)

"I think they'll be okay now that even Bairon followed her." The other council members added.

"But to think that she needed a back up..." I rubbed my temples.

"Something stronger than a lance, someone who was the pinnacle of our strength,"

All of us pondered the lingering question, why did she need a back-up?

"It could be the other Continent," Priscilla stated.

"That could be the case too, since they've been spying on us. And we even found evidence of their existence inside of our dungeons," I answered.

"But to think... A lance needing help? How strong are they?" Aya added.

She was right, the gravity around us intensified. Aya was right, how strong are these beings? To even compete with someone who's white core? I let out a sigh and placed my hands on the table.

The door suddenly opened.

We all looked at the same person, it was captain melbourg. Blaine glared at the soldier, "what is it?"

"I have something to report!"

I entered the portal and the world zoomed. I opened my eyes again and saw the familiar academy ahead, "Aya, go now! I'll catch up with you." I ordered.

Activating my second phase beast will, I followed Aya behind the portal towards the Beast Glades.

There we saw the guard who reported the fight.

"Where are they now?" I asked.

"I don't know, Elder Virion. The mana fluctuations disappeared earlier." He answered.

I turned to Aya.

"I can feel their mana signatures, Elder?! Varay, Bairon, Alea and...someone I don't know." She shouted.

"Where are they?!" Aya pointed ahead of us, we hastily launched towards the position. Then we saw a big hole leading underground.

"They're inside here,"

I nodded, "ready yourself."

Both Aya and I jumped down. We landed on the rubbles of rocks, dust settling on my clothes—I patted my cloak and I looked ahead.

My eyes widened.

"Why are you here?!"

ARTHUR LEYWIN

We landed inside the cave, I looked at Alea and saw her body still being covered by my aether. Varay walked towards her and touched the dome.

A small line of electricity electrocuted her. Varay yelped and blushed.

"Wait, let me remove it." I chuckled.

Varay at the corner of her eyes looked at me, her face flushed and her expression hinting embarrassment.
