ARTHUR LEYWIN

"How about we have a talk about Alacrya, Director." Cynthia's face tensed up, slightly they quivered, her eyes looked at me with caution.

Avier on the window looked at us, the feathers on his body quivered.

"I'm not here to kill you. Just tell me, where does your loyalty lie?"

Cynthia closed her eyes and looked at me with seriousness behind her eyes, her mouth opened up, "In Dicathen, and it'll always lie here."

I smiled.

"Then, in my stead, you'll be giving them information about the Alacrya."

"I can't, Arthur..." Cynthia looked down.

"I know, it's about the curse right?" I remarked. Her eyes widened and opened her before closing them once again. I walked to her back, and placed my hand on her back.

"I'll remove it," I uttered. Aether seeped from my body going to her body, using the aether as my eyes I looked at her heart. There was nothing on it, then I moved to her core—and there I saw black chains coating her core.

I moved aether from her body and slowly, splintered them one by one. After breaking all of them, I saw the residuals of the chains floating around her body. 'Perhaps I can absorb them,' I inhaled and guided the black mana to the palms of my hand.

It entered my body. I looked at my body and saw the black mana going to ways, one to my head and one to my core. The mana reached my mana core and swirled around it, as if waiting for something.

My head then thumped. Both my hands touched my head, fingers clutching my hairs—the excruciating feeling of my head being slammed by a hammer. A scream tore out of my mouth as tears fell from my eyes.

I could hear the mumbling of Cynthia's mouth, even though my sight was blurry—I could still see the worried expression of her's. I channeled aether from my core to my head, slightly the pain subsided.

"Goodness, Arthur, what happened?" Cynthia asked, her hand reaching out to me, I took it and she guided me towards the couch. With one of my hands still on my head, I grabbed the bottle Cynthia was giving me.

"The curse it's gone...after I destroyed it, black mana lingered inside you, and I absorbed it," I explained. Her eyes widened as she heard about her curse being broken, on her face, a smile formed.

Her smile was warm, reaching towards her eyes. "Thank you, Arthur."

"Can you call, Virion?" I asked. Cynthia nodded, she then took out a scroll, "Virion Eralith," She muttered.

"What is it?" The voice from the scroll asked.

"I don't know either, Arthur asked me to call you," Cynthia gave me the scroll and I saw Virion.

"Virion, can you come here to the Xyrus Academy?"

"Well, maybe I can later? Because 10 minutes from now, we have a meeting," Virion rubbed his chin.

"It's important, you should come now." I stated.

"What is i—"

Knowing what he was going to ask, I said, "It's about the traitors."

Virion's mouth stopped moving and I could feel his body tensed up. Virion nodded, and then, he disappeared from the scroll. I handed it back to Cynthia and I closed my eyes, I looked at my core and saw it shining.

'High silver! And it's on the verge of breaking.'

"Cynthia, what you're about to see is a secret, you shouldn't tell anyone what I'm about to take out," I warned. Cynthia nodded and I took out Dragoth's horn from my dimension rune, her eyes widened, and I smirked.
