"Cale, hey, wake up! " When he did, he became panicked, losing his bright expression.
He decided to lay him down on the floor to see what state he was in. Marquis Stan and all the nobility of the north-east rushed to Cale worried for him.
"Young master! "
"Cale! "
"Your Highness, what happened?"
"I don't know, Taylor can you go and see a guard so he can call a doctor?"
"Of course." He immediately left to meet the guards at the gate. The others remained at Cale's side while the other nobles did not move from their places at the table.
Alberu placed a hand on his forehead, checking his temperature.
"It looks like he has a very high fever..."
The nobles accompanying him became even more panicked.
By the time Taylor had gone to warn the guards, his condition had begun to worsen and a jerky breathing could be heard.
"Cale?! "Eric tried to wake him up by patting his cheeks, but it didn't work.
"He looks like he's having trouble breathing!"
Taylor had returned in the meantime, saying that the doctor had been notified.
"I hope he gets here soon his condition really isn't good." Eric took his hand of it trying to soothe him in some way, he didn't know what else to do.
The doctor took a few minutes to arrive. The longer he took, the more panicked the others became.
Once through the door, he rushed over to Cale.
"What happened? "
Alberu explained everything to him.
"All right, I'll give him some basic care for now and then we'll see."
With that, he set to work, beginning by examining her body. Seeing his condition, he provided him with a mana-powered oxygen mask, realizing that there was nothing more he could do for the time being. He turned to the Crown Prince.
"His condition is stable for now, do you have a room we can transfer him to? "
"Of course."
Alberu then explained where she was, as soon as he understood, he asked for someone to help carry him. Eric volunteered.
Eric followed the doctor, followed by the other nobles and Taylor, while Alberu stayed behind to send off the nobles left in the room. Not forgetting to threaten them not to say anything about today's incident.
None of the nobles protested, seeing the look on the Prince's face, they left immediately, allowing Alberu to join the doctor.
Once in the room, he could see the doctor resume his work on Cale.
"His pulse is too fast and his temperature is high, he needs water and compresses cold." He took everything out of his space bag and placed them on Cale's body.
Alberu then approached the doctor.
"Do you know what's wrong with him?"
"From what I've seen, he's exhausted, his body is completely overworked. Hence the high fever, which is giving him breathing problems. He absolutely must rest and do nothing, otherwise his condition is likely to worsen, even his heart is affected by his condition. He must have started feeling exhausted a long time ago".
"His heart..." Eric's eyes trembled, he was very worried for his friend.
"Yes, he really needs to rest and do nothing."
The doctor left some medicine to take for his fever and said to call him back if there was any trouble.
"Your highness," Eric called to Alberu.
"Yes, young master."
"You let Cale overwork himself until he passed out? " His gaze was dark as he looked at the crown prince.
"What? Of course not, we told him to rest but every time he said he was fine!"
Alberu recoiled at his disapproving look.
« Why doesn't everyone close to Cale think of me not as a prince but as a normal person?» Chasing this random thought away, he decided to look into it more seriously later, because now all the other nobles were looking at him in the same way. «That's what I was talking about!!!» He began to cry in his mind at the blatant lack of respect.
"I swear I really tried!!!"
Their conversation was interrupted when they heard a "Hyung" get out of bed.
Alberu and Eric rushed over to Cale.
But Cale's gaze fell on Alberu. He sent a happy look to the clearly disgruntled young master Eric. The others sighed at the childish behaviour of the two, which certainly didn't fit this situation.
"Yes, do you need anything dongsaong?"
"Hyung... it hurts..."
"We're going to give you something, do you feel anything else? "
"I don't feel well, I feel hot and my head hurts..."
It seemed the redhead was more honest about his wellbeing when he wasn't in his right mind.
"Don't worry, the doctor said you just need a rest, you were too exhausted so you got sick."
"I'm ill?"
Alberu frowned at Cale's behaviour, he seemed confused.
"Yes, the doctor left some medicine."
He gave them to him with a little water, Cale took them easily.
Alberu put a hand on his forehead to check his temperature.
«It feels like it's rising... should I call Eruhaben-nim or Ron?» He shuddered, thinking that he'd promised to look after Cale, if he told them what state he was in now...
His complexion paled at the memory of the smile on Cale's butler's face.
Meanwhile with Cale
Despite his mind being a little fuzzy from his fever, he still remembered that he possessed ancient powers, even a healing power? Yeah, probably.
«Hmm... Are you there?»
-Of course.
«I was told I was ill, is that true? but-»
He was cut off by the vitality of the heart.
-*sobs* Yes I'm sorry I can't cure mental illness you've exhausted your mind and fallen ill....
-You should listen to the crown prince and rest, it's the only thing you can do to get better.
«*sigh* Fine.» For once he didn't protest or say anything against their request, he was feeling very tired after all. He just closed his eyes and fell asleep. Forgetting the people around him...
