Chapter 20

Once they finished talking the two turned back to Cale on the bed still looking pale.

"*sigh* What can we do to help him now?" Deruth asked, this time he was really going to help them.

Eruhaben explained Cale's current conditions to him in addition to what the doctor had told him.

"I would really like to apologize for what I said to him. But it seems that it takes time... "

"Try to talk to him anyway now. The doctor said only he can recover. Maybe he will hear you... and that will help him a little. I don't know if he was hurt or not by what you said to him... "

"I understand, I'll try."

" All right. I'll leave you with him. I trust you. I'm going to talk to the others, I'm sure they'll want to come see it too."

"Of course and thank you very much."

Eruhaben just nodded and left.

Once everyone was informed of the young master's conditions they all decided that at least one person would be with Cale at all times to provide him with the comfort necessary for his recovery.

It started with the 3 children, they didn't leave the young master except to eat, they stayed close to him to make him feel their presence and talk to him about their day.

"Hey human I hope you get better soon I would like to go on a picnic with everyone, I already found a nice place with Goldie Papi!!"

The two kittens were near his head purring to show support for their guardian.

Even the ancient dragon came to him, telling him about Raon's progress while patting his head.

"Raon and everyone here are waiting for your unlucky bastard to return, and so am I." The last part was whispered silently in a sad tone.

Choi han came between his training sessions to become stronger and protect his cork as best he could, speaking to him in Korean about the future dishes that they can ask the chef to prepare.

Three days passed, with each of them passing by, to talk and comfort their young master in every way they knew through their stories, their caresses, or just their company or talking about their future plans, Mary, Hannah, Alberu, Ron and many others came for him.

They decided to ask the doctors to do another check on the redhead to see if he was improving. Everyone had hope that it would work.

Eruhaben and Ron accompanied the doctors to the room, the others waiting downstairs in the living room for news from Cale.

After an analysis of his condition, the doctors made their report.

"The young master seems to be doing better, his heart is low normally, his temperature has decreased, although still high, as well as his breathing which is more regular but we are still going to leave him with the current device, it is safer for him, his general condition seems better but it will take a little more time before it completely changes."

Eruhaben and Ron felt a little lighter after this report it seemed that this method was working, Cale is finally better, just keep it up and they will be able to see Cale awake again, they went down to the living room to inform the others of the good news everyone seemed relieved that his condition was finally improving although still only slightly.

"We just need to continue our usual routine and not rush him so the young master will soon be able to fully recover."

After this speech things continued to go the same way, people following one another in Cale's room each with small intentions for him.

The Henituse family spent the morning with Cale, holding his hand while talking about various things just to show him their presence and that they will wait for him, as long as it takes for him to recover.

Ron would come by from time to time to bring him a cup of lemon as usual, placing it on the table next to him knowing that it would sit there and cool, without anyone having touched it, just to show him that he will not forget his young puppy master. He took care of himself, changing these clothes because of the sweating linked to his fever, also changing the cold water towel on his forehead once it had warmed up as well as the folds that can appear on his bed like he always did.

A week passed quickly. Every person who knew him had come to his bedside even briefly just to see him despite their workload, his sworn brother came by promising him gold plates if he woke up soon. Even royalty from other countries came, the Queen of the Jungle, the Whales, Commander Toonka and others. His close family decided to eat every meal with him in his room as they were about to finish clearing out, Raon who was sleeping next to Cale woke up loudly.
