What Would Have Happened

Hello again. I wrote this fanfiction when I was in 6th (or 7th) grade and now I'm a rising sophomore in college. I've written fanfiction for different fandoms on different accounts since then, but I've never forgotten my first fanfiction.

First, I want to thank everyone who read, voted, commented, or supported this fanfiction in any way. I'm not exactly proud of this work (who is proud of their middle school writing?), but I'm genuinely grateful to everyone who supported this work. It means a lot to me.

Second, I want to apologize for never finishing it. I don't know if anyone has read it recently or is still thinking about this work; either way, I want to wrap it all up by explaining what would have happened in this story if I had written it.

What would have happened in this story (based on what I can remember):

Delfina and Alec start dating, as the title of this story suggests.

Delfina forms a bond with the rest of the Volturi.

The Cullens and the Volturi start a war with each other, but I can't remember why. The Volturi is happy that they have Delfina on their side and they believe they will win.

Delfina discovers that her parents were lured into the Volturi's residence by Heidi and subsequently killed for their blood.

After Delfina discovers what the Volturi did to her parents, she runs away and joins the Cullens.

The Cullens and the Volturi have a final battle similar to the hypothetical fight scene in Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Aro is killed (which upsets Delfina) and she decides to join the Volturi again. Because she is Aro's daughter, she replaces him in the Volturi leadership and becomes a Volturi queen.

I also partially wrote chapter 8:

As Delfina stared at herself blankly into the mirror, she thought about what Alec had said to her. She hated to admit it, but she had grown feelings for him as well. Maybe it was platonic or maybe it was romantic but hey, who knew?

Delfina had hardly been at the castle for a month and she definitely didn't want to rush things like other girls her age would. She found it incredibly stupid when two young teenagers would date for status, they would confess their "love" for each other two days into the relationship, and two weeks later, they would break up and one of them would be heartbroken.

Grinning at herself, Delfina recalled a time when she had a crush on a boy named Marco. Unlike her, Marco had parents and would come to the market with them coincidentally at the same time that Delfina would. She loved his baby face and his adorable hair and would eye stalk him throughout the market. She tried to gain the courage to walk up and introduce herself, but it never happened. Her crush on him was undoubtedly pathetic, but she was only twelve and it was her first schoolgirl crush.

The newborn vampire was so deep in thought that she failed to notice Sulpicia walk into the room. "Hello daughter," Sulpicia said giving her a smile. Although she never voiced her opinion, Delfina hated it when Sulpicia called her that.

"What's with the extra fancy dress?" Delfina asked Sulpicia, looking at her new mother's reflection in the mirror. "I was trying on different dresses for the ball tomorrow."

"What ball?"

"Oh yes, Aro was going to mention that to you later in the day. You are to have a ball."

"A ball?" Delfina snorted. "I've never felt so appreciated in my life."

"You remind me so much of Caius."
