it was just as sneakers released. the song that brung all the unnecessary hate and odd comments. it was only a song, why did everyone hate it so much? the girls had been so excited to release the song and showcase their new work, yet everyone they thought were their fans turned on them and said many unforgettable things.

the day it released, all five girls had stayed up, waiting to see the millions of kind comments they usually got on their new music videos. however this time around it was different.

the moment the music video dropped, the biews came in and immediately the comment section blew up. with a giddy smile, the itzy members clicked on the comment section, and in a millisecond their smiles dropped, and they all looked at each other.

"did you guys see those comments as well?" yuna asked gently, her voice soft and laced heavily with hope but her heart broke when every single member nodded. "they're so mean.." chaeryeong whispered, parts coming out broken.

"hey, maybe they didnt mean it! you know the occasional hate from worthless people always get pointed towards our success." yeji smiled, trying to encourage the girls even though she was also deeply hurt by the words in the comment section.

"yeah cause, 'lia cant sing and is such a dozen. i dont even know how she made it into itzy' is the occasional hate comment that we 'always' get" lia scoffed, a million tears streaming down her pale face. ryujin looked at her and hugged her a small sigh dragging through her lips.

"its ok, at debut i got the same hate. take it as inspiration to get better, prove them wrong" ryujin comforted, the members sent grateful yet hurt smiles towards their main rapper, sad she went through that but then again, all of them had gone through it. ryujin was right, they should take this hate as a way to prove everyone wrong.

"really?" lia looked up and every member squealed internally at her cuteness. "yes, how else do you think i became the most loved member?" ryujin smiled smugly, lia smiled back and smacked ryujin's shoulder playfully.

from then on, lia was rarely seen at the dorm, she had been too busy working on her vocals and dancing to worry about anything else. the members did start to worry but had also remembered the times they did that and how much it paid off so they didnt want to step in yet.

though, there is always a time and place where its ok to step in and stop things from happening. like right now, ryujin decided a little bit of late night practice wouldnt hurt. so she walked her merry way towards the itzy practice room in the grand jyp building.

however, her steps slowly came to a halt upon hearing soft cries from the other side of the door. placing an ear towards at the door ryujin carefully listened in. their newest release, 'sneakers' was blasting and there was the sound of shoes squeaking against the floor as heavy breathing and soft yet quiet sobs followed the beat of the song, playing in a perfect harmony.

ryujin slowly opened the door, not bothering to knock. she knew it would go unheard, from experience, the best thing to do was shut the music off and get this mystery member back home and into bed as yeji had once done when she found ryujin in this state.

"lia?" ryujin called softly after turning off the music, lia seemed to look around for a moment before her gaze landed on ryujin. she smiled half heartedly, as her gaze stayed loving, "yes jin?" she called out in the stupidly sweet kind voice of hers, even though the words came out slurred.

"how long have you been here?" ryujin asked concerned for her brown haired friend. "i dont know, maybe eight hours?" lia answered sweetly, though the tired was not only evident on her face but in her voice too. the dark eye bags making themself at home on her once clear face.
