it was a hot summers day, the sun was out casting its uv rays upon all the poor people walking streets, there was a nice gentle breeze but it only came every few minutes, leaving the humidity to take over.

in s specific street of seoul, walked two girls of similar heights, laughing and talking happily despite the blazing heat that struck the surrounding crowd.

"oh em gee! have you heard about that new café that opened up down the road?" the slightly taller one, yunjin, exclaimed, her eyes lit up with a flame of what can only be described as happiness.

looking up at her friend with curious eyes, kazuha shook her head. "no, wait- maybe? i dont know, its too hot to think." kazuha groaned, pulling her mini fan closer to her face since it was on the highest level of power.

"right.." yunjin agreed as she then realised the heat was slowly affecting her as well, draining her of the remaining energy she had. "lets hurry and get there quickly." yunjin urged, grabbing kazuha's hand and ignoring the absurd amount of sweat being released from it.

"ew! let go you weirdo!" kazuha squealed, trying her best to shake her hand free, though her efforts proved to be pointless as yunjin held tighter and walked quicker, practically dragging the poor girl through this massive and humid crowd.

when they stopped walking they had been met with a small but cozy café. the outside was covered in pink with small green vines and plants of all sorts hanging around. the sign hung from a side, swinging with the gentle breeze.

walking into the café, they were immediately hit with the coolness of the ac, a relieved sigh was let from both their lips, kazuha letting out the longer and louder sigh.

finding a seat was easy, it wasnt entirely empty but there wasnt a lot of people around, which shocked both the girls. the exterior was very pleasing to look at and didnt have too many colours so it was jumping out a lot, but didnt blend in very well either. it was the perfect balance of everything.

the interior was a variety of whites, pink and green accents here and there. as soon as they were sat a young looking waitress, dressing in a long flowy, knee length 'waiter' dress walked up to them. "hello! my name is eunchae, i'll be your server for today! is there anything i can get you fine ladies?"

the girl had dark cherry red hair, it was a little long and flowed down her shoulders, she had very subtle makeup on, it was only her eyes and lips done with very unnoticeable nude shades that matched her almost perfectly. she had smile lines from the constant smiles she sent to everyone, her smile always reaching her eyes causing everyone around her to smile too.

"can i get a chocolate cake slice?" yunjin asked, looking down at the menu that was sat there before she was. "of course! anything else?" eunchae asked, the smile still on her face. "yes please, is there a chance i could try the strawberry lemonade?"

"there's always a chance for you to try anything," eunchae said as she booped yunjin's nose. the two giggled as eunchae wrote down yunjin's order before turning to kazuha who watched the scene with fond eyes.

"and for you, miss pretty?" eunchae said with a small giggle when she saw the tips of kazuha's ears turn pink. "can i have the banana milkshake and a swiss roll?" kazuha asked shyly, she would never be as confident as yunjin, but she didnt mind it.

"yes of course! will that be all?" eunchae asked with curious eyes, resembling a lost puppy in the best way possible. all it took was a shake of the two heads and eunchae was speeding behind the counter to get their orders ready.

"she was cute" yunjin mumbled to kazuha, who agreed instantly. "did you see her smile? it was the cutest thing ever! i swear i have never seen anything better in my life."

after three minutes of gossiping, two plates were set infront of them, accompanied by two large glasses of their requested drinks. both girls looked equally excited as they dug in, taking bites of their requested food and taking sips out the large glasses, commenting on the glorious taste of everything, even trying eachother's food and drinks.

as they were coming to a finish of their drinks, yunjin took a large sip out the side of the glass, placing her straw on a paper towel. she paused after taking a sip, making a very confused face. "what?" kazuha asked slowly, still enjoying the last bits of her milkshake.

"the ice doesnt have flavour." yunjin murmured. kazuha looked up from her phone that she put on the table a few seconds ago, as she got bored of looking around the café. "what?" kazuha asked, yunjin looked at kazuha in her eyes and slowly repeated her words.

"i heard you the first time, jin" kazuha smiled but it wasnt a soft smile, it was the kind of smile you gave when you found something ridiculous. "what? why are you looking at me like that?" yunjin asked offended.

"ice doesnt have a flavour jinnie" kazuha sighed. "liar! the one in our dorms taste of apple juice." yunjin pouted, "thats cuz i put apple juice in the ice mould silly, if you put water in then it wont have a flavour." kazuha laughed.

"what.. the fuck are you talking about right now?" yunjin asked confused, as if kazuha was speaking in mathematics instead of korean. "i said i put apple juice instead of water" kazuha started but got quickly cut off.

"i heard that. ice is made of water?" yunjin asked and kazuha's jaw dropped. "how.. how did you pass high school? or kindergarten for that matter"

a light hearted story to make up for the heavy angst i graced you with yesterday. also i tried to describe a modest waiter dress, like the ones you'd see in animes but longer.

i cant add photos for some odd reason, so i cant visibly show what i mean, but my reference was isabella from the promised neverland.
