"Okay, how about this one?" Marina walked out of her room into the living room she had on black suit pants and an off-the-shoulder white top.
AJ looked up from her phone giving her cousin an approving nod, "I like this one, a lot less business casual than the button-up."
Marina sighed hunching her shoulders in defeat.
"Oh come on, I like it, it's my favorite!"
"You said that about the last two. I'm going to look for something else." She groaned.
"Don't, I swear this one is the best so far!" AJ quickly reacted before Marina went back to her room again. "You look good! Don't overthink so much, it's not like it's your first date."
Marina plopped down on the couch beside her, "I know but it's just the first date in a long time... I'm nervous." She admitted.
AJ gave her a sympathetic smile. "You'll do great Nina, everything will go fine and if it doesn't, think of it as practice, plus the upside is that there are plenty of other men. Those aren't scarce." She said with a playful smirk.
"Yeah men aren't, but good men are." She muttered throwing her head back.
AJ scoffed, "Yeah but sometimes good men are closer than you think."
Marina raised a brow, "who are you talking about?"
"No one in particular, just saying."
Their talk was cut short when Marina's phone rang. She picked it up to see that she was getting a FaceTime call from Buck. "Hello," Marina said when she answered the call. Buck's face pops up on the phone screen.
"Hey, we're heading to grab something to eat and wanted to see if you and AJ wanted to come along?" Buck said moving his phone to show Chris who was waving at her. She waved back while she moved closer to her cousin to show her the screen.
"I would love to, but I can't today.".
"Why not?" Buck looked genuinely curious, she always tagged along.
"She has a date today." AJ, butted in, pushing Marina to the side so her face could show up on the camera.
"With who?" The harsh voice came from the other line but it wasn't coming from Buck or Chris.
From next to Buck, Eddie popped into the screen.
"Oh, I don't know maybe a hot science teacher," AJ teased.
Marina glared at her, she wasn't ready to tell them yet about her date.
"Wait that Sebastian guy?" Eddie asked his brows furrowed.
"Him?" Buck looked confused.
"Why do you guys sound like that?" Marina asked confused.
Buck glanced at Eddie and they both exchanged a look. "No reason... It's just are you sure about him?" Eddie mumbled.
