Nothing

I didn't see the Onceler the next morning.  He was away on a pr trip. I wouldn't be able to tsalk to him until he got back. I left my room to see Isabella talking to Ubb. She  rolled her eyes once he walked away. She looked at me and then put on a smile and walked over to me.

"Hello darling, are you just going to stand there or make yourself useful?" She laughed a little.

"How long is the Onceler meant to be away for?"

"Three days," she said. "Anything else?" I shook my head and returned to my room. I needed to do the buisness's taxes, as well as print out copies of the contract stating the Onceler legally owned this land.

I started my day off with refreashing shower. It was hot out. Then I put on some clothes and brushed my teeth. Finally I washed my face, and put some makeup on. Starting a day feel good really helped me get the work done.

While in my office I heard a knock on the window. It was the Lorax. I opened the window.

"How did you get here?" I asked. The window led onto a balcony with a large drop underneath.

He shrugged.

He walked over to a chair and sat on it. I tried to work a bit more though his presence was a little unsettling.

"Are you alright?" I was concerned. "I'm fine." He said. "Can't say the animals living here are though. In fact they may not live here anymore pretty soon."

"The Onceler's on a buisness trip right now. I can't talk to him. Besides, I'm still trying to un brainwash him from his mother. She's got him wrapped around her delicate finger."

The Lorax nodded and stroked his chin. While twirling he jumped up. "Iv'e got an idea!"

I looked at him dubiously. "Like what?" I asked. He smiled. "What if we scared his mom  out of here. Maybe spooked her so much she decided to leave." I didn't think this would work. "Isabella will do pretty much anything for power. Once is just so trusting of her. I don't want him to get hurt if she abandons him."

"Listen kid," the Lorax said. "In all my years I have learned a few things. One of those beiing that people are complicated. I'm not saying any of you are good or bad people because of what you're doing, I'm simply asking you to empathize more. Understand what the Barbaloots are going through. Right now you are sitting in a comfy office chair, you have so much money to pay for anything you like. Now let's take this all away. You have nothing. If you just understood that, I think you'd slow down. And by you, Y/N, I mean all of them, because I believe you are trying. Just try a  little harder."

I was a little stunned and didn't know what to say. So I just watched him struggle to reach the doorhandle a bit before leaving. He was right.
