The Lorax

The car pulled up to the house and me and the Onceler got out.

We started walking towards the house before I heard a sound. "Psst." I looked over to see the Lorax. I walked over to him. "Are you okay?" He looked angry. "No! The smog has taken over. The sky hasn't been blue in days. The ponds are completely brown now. There's concrete everywhere, not to mention the trees. No fruit grows anymore! There are a quarter of the amount of trees there were before the Onceler arrived! Less than a quarter!"

I got annoyed by this. Why was he mad at me? "I haven't done anything. Just talk to the Onceler."

He shook his head. "No, no, no, he won't talk to me. Every time I go into the palace thing the Onceler kicks me out if he sees me. He won't even talk to me. I don't know what to do."

"I don't know what to do either. Isabella and the Onceler are not going to listen to me about business plans."

"Why? Aren't you the financial adviser?"

"Well no one would listen to me about quitting thee business."

The Lorax looked angry now. "I'm not asking you to quit your buisness. I'm telling you to get out! Use a different material for your thneed. The damage you've done is already looking hopeless."

I looked away. I was embarrassed.
