Has it already been a day...what's gonna happen to me? Just when I thought I was getting one step closer to being by their sides.

Soshiro walked in with two armed men, one on each side of him
"You're being transferred to HQ's facilities." He sighed. They started to get me out of the chair I was strapped to
"Hey Sosh-" I stopped myself. Yeah I figured...he probably doesn't wanna lose his job. The doors opened and pretty much everyone was there.

"The captain is already in the truck."

I wound up betraying Ichikawa and Shinomiya too...damn it I can't even look them in the eyes. They probably hate me and Kafka now...

I stepped up onto the ramp to get in the truck
"Akari..." Shinomiya spoke up. I looked back at her
"You'll come back...I have faith." She looked sad
"Huh? Shi-" I was cutoff by doors slamming in my face. I sat down beside Kafka who was apparently brought out before me.

"Damn it Shinomiya...she's getting pushups for talking out of turn." Mina was looking at the wall of the truck
"When you two dashed in to save the base without hesitation...I was shocked to see you both as Kaiju but then I was like 'that is so something they would do.' We have testimony and footage to vouch for you. If we can prove your human there's a chance we can save you from disposal. We're also reporting all your deeds as officers. In the third division, no one considers you two a threat." Mina turned around
"It's time, sit. Kafka Hibino, Y/N Akari, Based on article 13 of the defense force regulations, we are transferring you to the Ariake Martime Base. To ensure citizen safety on the way, we have—" She was cutoff

"Mina...can I still...strive for a place by your side?" Kafka was clearly on the verge of tears. I just stared at the floor. Man, these handcuffs hurt my wrists.
"Sure, I'll be waiting." She smiled. Kafka had started crying. I just kept staring at the floor.
"Stop being so mopey." Soshiro ruffled my hair
"Don't touch me..." I mumbled
"Look, I'm sorry this is happening okay? I'm gonna try my hardest to make sure you make it out alive." He kneeled down so he could see my face. I just rolled my eyes.

"I order you to stop being sad." He cupped my face. I just looked away
"Hey! Listen to me!" He pinched my cheeks
"Okay okay!" I looked back at him
"Yay!" He smiled
"You act like a four year old." I smiled
"There's my girl!" He smiled and cupped my face again
"I'm sorry this had to happen on your birthday..." he pulled me over to the bench that he was sitting on earlier
"Of course you remembered my birthday." I sighed
"You're officially as old as me!" He hugged me
"Soshiro, I can't hug back, you're making me feel bad." I was cringing at how hard he was hugging me
"I don't care!" he kissed my forehead

"Am I allowed to change your mind?" I asked
"About what?" He asked
"I want a scythe instead of a double-sided sword."  I shrugged
"Sounds good." Mina spoke up
"Thank you Mina..." I smiled

"Bulkheads 23 to 31 sealed. Locks are in proper working order. Kaiju number 8 and Kaiju number 10 are contained."

I looked over at Kafka who was also trapped in a chair with metal.
