(Taehyung's POV)

I hated Y/N. I hated her with every fiber of my being. And now, because of her whiny, manipulative antics, I had lost my video games and my phone. The two things that kept me sane in this madhouse were gone. I was planning her murder in vivid detail, envisioning a thousand ways to make her pay for every bit of trouble she had caused me.

Sitting at my desk, I plotted her demise with a dark satisfaction. I'd start by—

"Taehyung," Mrs. Jung's voice snapped me out of my murderous daydream. Her tone was unusually soft, and I knew something bad was coming. "Can you come outside for a moment?"

Reluctantly, I followed her into the hallway. This couldn't be good. Mrs. Jung never took students out of class unless it was something serious.

"Taehyung," she began, her eyes full of concern, "you're failing English."

"What?!" The word burst out of me before I could stop it. Failing English? Me? How? I was good at English. I had to be. I looked at her, hoping for some sign that this was a joke, but her expression remained serious.

"You've failed all three of the class tests this term," she said, her voice tinged with disappointment. "If you don't improve your grades, you're going to be kicked off the school team."

The school team. The one thing I actually enjoyed and looked forward to. My escape from the chaos at home and the constant stress of academics. "There must be some mistake," I argued, trying to keep the panic out of my voice. "I thought I did okay on those tests." Am I in denial? I had bombed those test papers.

Mrs. Jung shook her head, her gaze softening. "I've gone over your work, Taehyung. It's not just about the tests. Your essays, your homework—they're all way below the standard you need to maintain. You have to get better at English, and you need to do it before the midterms."

I stood there, numb. No video games. No phone. And now, failing English? It felt like the universe was out to get me, like some cosmic force was determined to make my life as miserable as possible. And at the center of it all was Y/N, the catalyst for this downward spiral.

I couldn't help but feel a surge of anger towards her. If she hadn't gone crying to Jin hyung, maybe I wouldn't be in this mess. Now I was not only grounded but on the verge of losing the only thing that kept me from going insane—the school team.

"Do you understand what I'm saying, Taehyung?" Mrs. Jung's voice broke through my thoughts. "You need to take this seriously. If you don't pass the upcoming midterms, the consequences will be severe."

I nodded, though my mind was already racing with frustration and anger. "Yeah, I understand," I muttered, not meeting her eyes.

"Good," she said, her tone softening a bit. "I know you can do this, Taehyung. You just need to focus and ask for help if you need it."
