(Taehyung's perspective)
The day of reckoning had arrived. The dread hung over me like a dark cloud as I sat in English class, my mind far from the words on the page. I glanced at Y/N, who was focused on her notes, her brows furrowed in concentration. She had no idea what was about to hit us. My heart pounded in my chest, the weight of the impending confrontation heavy on my shoulders.
Suddenly, the intercom crackled to life. "Kim Taehyung and Seon Y/N, please report to the principal's office immediately."
I looked at Y/N, gulping hard. Her eyes widened with a mixture of confusion and fear. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart. "Let's go," I whispered, standing up from my desk.
As we walked down the corridor, my mind raced. What would happen next? How bad would it be? The dread in my stomach grew with every step.
When we entered the principal's office, I immediately noticed Y/N's parents and Kiyoung, standing there. Y/N's parents looked stern, their faces etched with disappointment. Kiyoung was seething, his fists clenched at his sides. Y/N looked down, unable to meet their gazes.
I stood there, feeling the weight of their judgment. Where was Jin hyung? He had promised to be here. As I scanned the room, my eyes landed on Chaeyoung standing in the corner, a victorious smirk on her face. I felt a surge of anger but forced myself to stay calm. The principal sat behind her desk, her face a mask of cold authority. She held up a photo, one that Chaeyoung had somehow obtained, showing Y/N resting her head on my shoulder. The air was thick with tension, and I could feel the anger radiating from Y/N's family.
"Because of you...my sister will be expelled! She has such a good future in English, you know that, right?!" Kiyoung exclaimed, his voice shaking with rage. He stood up and grabbed my collar, his eyes blazing. "You fucker..."
"Let go of him, Kiyoung," Y/N's voice cut through the tension, sharp and clear.
Kiyoung's face twisted in hurt and betrayal. "You're taking his side?" he spat, releasing me and taking a step back. His eyes were filled with pain as he looked at Y/N. "You're choosing him over your family?"
"Kiyoung, please," Y/N pleaded, her voice breaking. But it was too late. Kiyoung turned on his heel and stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind him.
I stood there, feeling the weight of his words like a punch to the gut. Y/N's parents turned their gaze to me, their disappointment palpable.
"I didn't expect this from you, Y/N," her mother said, her voice trembling with emotion. "We trusted you to focus on your studies, to make something of yourself. And now this?"
Her father's face was red with anger. "We specifically told you not to get involved with boys until you were older and more mature. And now you're risking everything for this?"
