NOW PLAYING: Apocalypse Please
By Muse

♫ Declare this an emergency
Come on and spread a sense of urgency
And pull us through
And pull us through
And this is the end
(End)
This is the end
Of the world
And it's time we saw a miracle
Come on, it's time for something biblical
To pull us through
And pull us through
And this is the end
(End)
This is the end
Of the world
And proclaim eternal victory
Come on and change the course of history
And pull us through
And pull us through
And this is the end
(End)
This is the end
Of the world ♫

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ EVIN WAS late for school, again. His parents would often forget to wake himself and his seven year old sister up from school due to one of them either being stuck at work or passed out drunk on the couch. Usually it was his step dad who was passed out drunk. Evin was only Ten and yet he had so much responsibility. Sometimes he felt as if he took care of his sister more than his actual parents do.

Don't get him wrong, Evin does care deeply about both his mother and somewhat stepfather. Evin just sometimes wishes they would show the amount of affection and care as he does. Evin often sits in his room and thinks about how his life could have been. He thought about how if his parents paid just a little amount of attention to him and his sister then he could go out with friends. To finally have some real fun, to finally socialise with people his age. Evin knew he was rather mature for his age.

He was quite antisocial for his age. Frankly he only has one close friend, that being Connor. Connor is the only person in his middle school that would actually
engage conversations with him. Evin appreciated Connor deeply and frankly he didn't know what he would do or be without the older.

As Evin quickly slipped his rugged school shoes on and walked into the living room seeing his seven year old sister sitting on the floor watching her favourite tv show. To no surprise their stepfather was passed out drunk sprawled on the couch with an empty beer bottle hung loosely around his boney fingers. Evin ignored the sight of the older man and crouched down to be eye level with his smiling sister.

"You ready to leave?" Evin smiled lovingly at Mila as she nodded her head slowly all the while still keeping her eyes glued to the brightly lit tv. A small smirk crawled up Evin's face when he suddenly started to tickle Mila's sides causing her to squeal. He continued to do this until a gruff voice was heard from above.

"You two shut it, will ya?" David, their stepfather growled as he held his head. Evin apologised before standing up from the floor, bringing his sister up with him. Mila turned the tv off and walked back into the hall to grab her rucksack. Soon enough Evin followed her lead now also picking up his backpack and swinging it over his one shoulder then wrapping it around the other.

Evin grabbed his house keys and unlocked the front door, letting Mila walk out first. Just as Evin left the house he turned back around peeking his head out of the front door. "Bye mom!" He yelled, waited a few seconds but still got not response. He sighed deeply knowing that Jane was home. Then, with a heavy heart he locked the door and began walking to school with his sister by his side.
