I walk into the golf building, hurrying in front of Colby, while humming the song I heard on the radio.

I smile at the receptionist as Colby hurries to catch up to me.

"Hello, what can I do for you both?" she smiles, as I look down at her name tag that reads 'Jenni'.

"We would like to have an unlimited game of golf please." Colby says behind me.

(a/n i havent been golfing since i went minigolfing with young carers when i was like 10 so im kinda winging it here😭 just stick w me pls)

"Yup. By the way, Jenni is such a pretty name" I compliment, smiling at her.

I swear I see colby with a look of jealousy behind me, but I ignore it for now.

We pay for our tickets, before heading back and collecting our equipment.

We head to the course, and Colby gestures for me to go first.

I hit it, getting a hole in one.

I turn to Colby smiling, and he laughs.

We continue playing golf for about three hours, before I'm almost falling asleep while Colby takes his turns.

I close my eyes while Colby hits, hearing him turn around and walk towards me.

"Are you tired, Sammy?"

I hum a yes, not opening my eyes.

He chuckles, "We better head back to the house then."

I go to argue, because I love playing golf and I haven't been able to in ages so I was really enjoying myself, but Colby shakes his head.

"No. We can come back another time, come on." he laughs slightly.

He helps me stand up from my spot, and I follow him, putting our stuff away and eventually making it to the car.

As soon as I'm buckled in, I start falling asleep.

I relax as I feel myself fall into the dream realm.

Colbys pov

As I sit down in my car, I look over to see Sam already asleep in his seat. I smile, knowing he had a good day.

I didn't know all of what Holly would do, just that it was bad.

I also knew Sam wouldn't stay with me and the others for much longer.

That thought makes me frown a bit, casting a glance at Sams sleeping figure.

He looks so calm.

Most of the time, he looks on edge and anxious. He's always ready for someone to hurt him, which makes me sad.

He's such a sweet person, but Holly is ruining him.

I can see some of his injuries from where I'm sitting, which I hate. He shouldn't have to deal with that.

Why him? He doesn't deserve it.

As I pull into my drive, I drag myself away from my thoughts. Sam is still asleep, so I walk around and pick him up.

I carry him up to his room, laying him on his bed under the blankets.

I walk back down into the main room, where Corey and Jake are playing Rocket League, Aaron watching the intense game.

I greet them all, sitting down next to Aaron.

"Hey, guys?" I speak up.

Corey screams something about losing as Jake pauses the game, turning to me.

"What should we do about Sam? He will probably try leave soon and I don't think it's a good idea. I can't say a lot of why, Jake knows, but it would be dangerous for him." I mention, looking around at them.

We discuss it, not coming to a complete decision before we hear a bang from upstairs.
