THIRD PERSON POV
In front of the full-length mirror stood a pale young boy, dressed in an oversized t-shirt and drowning in baggy jeans. His dark ensemble was completed with a pair of black sneakers and a bucket cap, which concealed his eyes behind overgrown bangs from his last haircut.
As he brushed his bangs away from his eyes, a pair of anxious doe eyes were revealed.
The boy let out a small sigh, studying his attire with a hint of dissatisfaction.
"Jeon Kookie, get your bun bum down or I won't give you a ride to school and you'll have to walk!" a familiar voice called out, snapping Jungkook back to reality. He still had to gather his belongings and make it to school on time. Quickly, the boy stuffed his bag with numerous sheets, not wasting any time.
He made his way downstairs slowly, hoping that time would somehow slow down or an earthquake would miraculously shake the city, granting him a perfect day at home without having to face anyone.
However, life has a way of being unjust. Jungkook reached the kitchen counter without any tremors beneath his feet, completely unscathed.
Absentmindedly, he settled into his usual chair beside his older brother, who weakly smiled at him, yearning for the day when his younger sibling would be enthusiastic about the day ahead.
"Good morning, little Jeon," Yoongi chuckled, gazing at the pouty figure beside him, who simply nodded in response.
Yoongi served their breakfast, and the two brothers enjoying their meal together, their parents absent due to an early morning meeting they had to attend."Kookie?"
Jungkook simply nodded in response, indicating that he was listening.
"I heard you've been skipping some of your classes lately," Yoongi inquired. "Are you involved in any other activities?""Hyungie!" Jungkook whined. "You already know I can do anything but engage in some 'activity'," he furrowed his brows. "I've been skipping his classes because he made me sit with a boy who scored full marks in the recent test to help me socialize and understand mathematics," he huffed, successfully making his brother coo at him.
Despite Jungkook always dressing up in dark clothing, his baby voice would make him look even cuter, and every time he huffed, his cheeks would rise up.
Yoongi admired his brother, thinking about how people would misjudge him based on his appearance unless they took a closer look under that bucket cap, where a cute bunny-faced human was hiding.
"Maybe that guy is super cool and will lend you a hand," Yoongi assured the bunny sitting beside him, munching on his meal.
"Hyungie, I'm ready to go. Let's go ahead or I'll be late," Jungkook declared, not really looking forward to school, but wanting to end the conversation with his brother.
He knew his family cared about him and wanted to see him bloom, but Jungkook couldn't shake off his sadness. They hopped into Yoongi's white car, with Jungkook being promised his own car once he started university. However, Jungkook didn't see the need for one.
Despite being born into a well-off family, he wasn't spoiled, but his brother loved to pamper him.Yoongi started the car and dropped Jungkook off at school before heading to their parents' company. The company was well-respected among stock market investors.
Having graduated last year with a major in Business and Finance, Yoongi aimed to understand the ins and outs of the family business and eventually take over when his parents will be retired.Jungkook strolled down the bustling hallways, filled with chatty, giggling, and flirty teenagers. He didn't mind the noise and excitement, but he couldn't help but feel a bit left out. Despite having two friends who always invited him to hang out, Jungkook often turned them down.
As he reached his locker, Jungkook grabbed his textbooks and made his way to class, avoiding eye contact with his peers.
Surprisingly, he didn't feel anxious in the crowded corridors. Everyone saw him as a quiet, innocent boy and never bothered him. After all, who would want to bully someone as cute as Jungkook?
Entering the loud classroom, Jungkook glanced over at the boy in the second seat, with the next one empty, waving at him, Yugeom.
Yugeom is Jungkook's new seat partner chosen by Mr. Min, their homeroom teacher."You finally decided to show up, huh?" Yugeom teased with a smile as Jungkook sat down.
"Was Mr. Min mad?" Jungkook asked, worried about the consequences of missing 7 classes."What do you think?" Yugeom replied. "Anyway, he'll let it slide if you act all serious and don't say anything," he chuckled. "The old man will get tired of scolding you one day," he added.
Jungkook felt a little embarrassed for skipping classes, but Yugeom was definitely annoying.
