THIRD PERSON POV
Ring...
As soon as the bell rings, Jungkook hastily packed his bag with his notebooks, eager to escape from this place. Yugeom, who was sitting beside him, observed his unusual behavior. Normally, Jungkook would wait until all the other students had left before leaving himself.
"Can't wait to leave, huh?" Yugeom teased, but Jungkook just ignored him. Yugeom knew that Jungkook was quiet and kept to himself.
"Well, have a great break, Jungkookie," Yugeom said as Jungkook waved goodbye with a smile and left the class.
Jungkook always made his way back home by walking since it was conveniently close.
Lost in his own thoughts, he absentmindedly veered towards the left without paying attention to his surroundings. As he continued on his path, he noticed a familiar black car parked nearby. A woman in her early 40s stood beside it, leaning on the car as if she was carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders, eagerly waiting for her son.
Jungkook suddenly remembered that he had agreed to spend time with his mom last week.
Jungkook felt a wave of homesickness wash over him, making him long to escape. However, his hopes were dashed as Mrs. Jeon caught sight of him and motioned for him to approach her.
Without wasting a single moment, Jungkook swiftly made his way towards the car. The initial action that always followed was his mother's loving embrace, which Jungkook truly cherished. He adores the warmth and solace he finds in her arms.
"Let's go, shall we?" Mrs. Jeon suggested eagerly and Jungkook nodded with a smile.
Mrs. Jeon walked over to the car and opened the door for her son before taking her place in the driver's seat.
She shifted the gear and started the car, the engine humming softly. As they drove, there was a comfortable silence until Mrs. Jeon decided to break it with her gentle voice.
"Did you have a good day at school, my kookie?" she asked, her voice filled with warmth and affection.
Jungkook let out a sigh, unsure of how to respond. "Yeah, it was alright. Dealing with annoying classmates and listening to annoying teachers," he replied, a slight pout forming on his lips.
Mrs. Jeon shook her head, a soft smile on her face as she scolded her son in the sweetest way possible. "Oh no, my little kookie. That's not the right attitude. You should always respect your teachers, they teach you important things," she said, gently patting Jungkook's shoulder.
Jungkook happily mentioned that due to the school renovations, they were given early vacations, allowing him to sleep for hours without any worries. He then proceeded to play some music. The rest of the journey was spent listening to music that Jungkook was playing, which they both enjoyed.
After thirty minutes, they arrived at the mall. Jungkook gazed at the building and wished he had gone to the Arcade with Mingyu and Eunwoo instead of going shopping with his mother. He knew that shopping with her meant trying on trendy jackets and colorful shirts, even though he preferred basic and neutral colors.
Mrs. Jeon eagerly takes Jungkook to a popular clothing store, bustling with students. As Mrs. Jeon explored the different options available, Jungkook took the opportunity to browse through the clothing racks himself.
Jungkook was wandering around the racks when out of nowhere his foot slid and he started to lose his balance. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as he began to fall, his eyes locking with the boy in front of him. Instead of offering a hand, the boy just watched with a hint of amusement in his gaze.
His hair was a beautiful shade of caramel brown, with his bangs stylishly falling just above his eyes. There was a small mullet at the back, adding a touch of uniqueness to his look. Jungkook couldn't help but notice the cute mole on his plump bottom lip, which only added to his charm. And that teasing smile of his, playing on his lips, made him even more irresistible.
Jungkook struggled to stay on his feet, but managed to regain his balance and stand tall in front of someone he recognized. Jungkook wasn't prepared to face that familiar individual. Kim Taehyung
Taehyung chuckled as he looked at Jungkook. "You're Jeon Jungkook, aren't you?" he asked playfully. Jungkook quickly covered his face with his long bangs and bucket cap.
"I have no idea who Jungkook is," Jungkook fibbed, "and I appreciate you not offering to help me just now" Jungkook then walked away to the other side.
Right after meeting Taehyung, Jungkook quickly found his mother engaged in conversation with someone he greatly admired. However, her youngest son was known as nothing more than an unpredictable guy, always up to some sort of mischief.
"I had a feeling!" Taehyung said excitedly. "I knew it, you're Jungkook," Taehyung grinned.
"Hey, did you catch a glimpse of him just now?" Mrs. Kim inquired, her face adorned with her signature wide smile that never seemed to fade. Jungkook always noticed his mother's radiant grin. "Maybe, who knows!" Taehyung playfully responded, flashing a playful smile.
"Did we really have to run into this 'always happy' mother and son duo?" Jungkook mumbled to himself.
Taehyung responded with a big, boxy smile, but Jungkook could only manage a weak smile in return.
"He's still a shy bee," Taehyung thought, "and that makes me curious to know more about him." He grabbed Jungkook's arm, causing the younger boy to feel shocked.
"You must have been bored with Aunty Jeon. Let's grab some snacks from the food court," Taehyung suggested, hoping for a response from Jungkook. When he didn't get one, he added, "I hope Aunty Jeon won't mind if I take her son to get some snacks."
"Of course, I know you will take good care of Kookie," Mrs. Jeon chimed in, ruffling Jungkook's hair. Internally, Jungkook cursed the forking Kim in front of him. "Let's go, shall we, Kookie ?" Taehyung asked again, with a big, boxy smile on his face that Jungkook wanted to punch.
A/n
Our dear Taehyungie has finally made his grand debut at the end of chapter! Can you believe it? I never thought I would be able to write such a long chapter, with 800 - 1000 words! It's absolutely mind-blowing! I can't help but include all the important details to enhance the reader's imagination. Although I may not have a huge number of readers, I am incredibly grateful for the sweet comments and motivation from my first reader Tejibbelim.
Even if it's just a small group of people reading this, I truly appreciate each and every one of them. It may not be the most popular story out there, but the joy it brings me is priceless, so I won't be stopping anytime soon! Remember to vote and comment, or else Namjoon might just shave your eyebrows! Your opinions mean the world to me. Thank you for taking the time to read, and take care. The next update might be a little delayed, but it'll be worth the wait!
