Thalassa's hands were tied together and she was placed on a boat. Elizabeth was placed on a different boat. They rowed into a cave in a mysterious island. They pushed through some tunnels that went deeper into the cave and island.

In the heart of the island where the moon peaked into the cave, there were piles and piles of gold. And in the center of the treasures was a stone chest filled with the cursed Aztec gold.

"They can't use your blood," Elizabeth finally said once they were on land.

"It'll-it'll be alright," Nessa replied. She was pulled away by her arm from Elizabeth.

"You rotten pirates!" Elizabeth shouted. A taller pirate grabbed Elizabeth's arm and held her in place.

As Jack rowed their boat through the dark tunnels, Will looked around at everything and felt fear creep up his spine.

"You know, for having such a bleak input on pirates, you're well on your way of becoming one. You sprung a man from jail, stole a port ship, sailed with a small crew from Tortuga...and you're completely obsessed with treasure." Jack got out of the boat and quietly climbed the rocks.

"That is not true. I am not obsessed with treasure," Will replied while he followed Jack.

Jack looked through the opening in the cave wall and watched the beautiful blonde lass stand next to the captain with her hands tied together. "Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate."

"Gentlemen, the time has come!" Barbossa announced.

Will peered through the opening as well and a gasp escaped him when he looked down and saw Elizabeth. She had a gag in her mouth and was held by the arm by a pirate. Thalassa was standing behind chest next to Captain Barbossa.

"Our salvation is nigh! Our tourment is near an end! For ten years we've been tested and tried, each man here has proved his mettle a hundred times over and a hundred times again!" Barbossa continued his speech. His fellow pirates cheered. "Punished we were, the lot of us, disproportionate to our crime! Here it is!" He pushed open the chest with his foot and the stone slab fell off the top. "The cursed treasure of Cortes himself. Every last piece that went astray, we have returned. Save for this!" Barbossa pointed to Thalassa and the men cheered again. Elizabeth's shouts were muffled. She shook her head and yelled at Nessa but it was no use.

"Jack," Will whispered.

"Not yet." Jack grabbed Will and the two ducked behind the stone. "We wait for the opportune moment."

"Who among us has paid the blood sacrifice owed to the heathen gods?"

"Ours!" The pirates shouted.

"And whose blood must yet be paid?"

"Hers!"

"Miss Turner," Barbossa chuckled. He grabbed the back of her neck and the pirates chanted. Thalassa closed her eyes. She knew it was the end but what could she do? The pirates could not die. The girls were out numbered. Barbossa then grabbed her hand and cut the flesh of her palm. Thalassa winced and shivered in pain. Barbossa placed the last medallion in her palm and wiped the blood on it. She whimpered and then watched the medallion drop into the chest.

"What?" She asked with confusion.

"Waste not," Barbossa said.

"That's it?" Nessa muttered.

The pirates looked around as if they were waiting for something to happen. The cave became very still and quiet. "I don't feel different," Ragetti said.

"How do we tell?"

Barbossa cocked his pistol and shot Pintel in the chest. Pintel gagged and then looked down at the bullet hole.

"You're not dead!"

"He shot me!" Pintel cried.

"It didn't work," Ragetti said.

Elizabeth spit out her gag and. then locked eyes with Thalassa. "Nessa," she whispered.

Barbossa angrily grabbed Nessa by the hair. "You! Your father, what was his name? Was your father William Turner?" He grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her. "Does his blood run in your veins? The blood of William Turner?"

Nessa chuckled at him. "No." Thalassa looked at him with pride. She wore a smug grin which angered Barbossa even more. He growled and then smacked her upside the head. Thalassa fell down the backside of the pile of gold next to the water.

Elizabeth shrieked. "Nessa!"

"Bloody fools!" Barbossa shouted.

"You brought us the wrong person!" Someone yelled at Ragetti and Pintel. Everyone shouted with frustration. They all clamored and yelled. Elizabeth laughed at their frustration but also feared the worst for Nessa.

Thalassa's eyes adjusted to the moonlight and then she quickly sat up. Then, Will grabbed her arm and she gasped. Will placed a finger over his lips and then motioned for her to follow. She was very happy to see him and felt hope for her and Elizabeth. She followed Will into the water. They swam towards the rock where Elizabeth stood and jumped into the crowd of pirates. Will fought off the pirates that surrounded Elizabeth with his sword while Nessa untied her hands. Then, Nessa returned the medallion to Elizabeth and the girls ran.

"She's taken the medallion!" Barbossa screamed.

Thalassa and Elizabeth followed Will through the tunnels and onto a boat. They rowed as fast as they could out of the cave and to the ship Will had come from. Echoes of the pirates yells bounced off the cave walls. "Leave it to you to get into trouble," Will teased. It eased the tension and Thalassa's breathing returned to normal.

Thalassa looked down at her palms wound and then closed her hand, making it hurt even more. Barbossa had cut very deep into her hand.

The girls and Will boarded the ship where a small crew awaited. "Not more pirates," Nessa whined.

"Welcome aboard miss Elizabeth," Gibbs greeted. "Miss Thalassa." He nodded his head at the strange girl. "Where be Jack?"

"Jack? As in Jack Sparrow?" Elizabeth asked Will.

"He's here?" Nessa asked with disgust.

"Not anymore. He fell behind," said Will. "Come, let's get you two warmed up."

"Thalassa your palm," Elizabeth whispered. Nessa yanked her hand from her.

"It's fine." Thalassa sat down to catch her breath. It had been quite the dramatic few days.

"Are you sure?"

"Tend to your own wounds," Thalassa snapped. She was referring to the cut on Elizabeth's arm from the sword fight that had happened in the cave.

While Will tended to Elizabeth, Thalassa stared at the sea.

"Young Thalassa," Gibbs said as he leaned against the railing beside her.

"Mr. Gibbs, what are you doing with the likes of Jack Sparrow?" Nessa teasingly asked him.

"Jack and me go way back. Not all pirates are dirty, greasy, and rude. Some of us just really love the sea," Gibbs explained.
