HMS 1: Caught In A Bad Romance

Chapter 17

"HA HA HA Kailan ka pa dyan insan?" Haven ask awkwardly.

"What we're you saying earlier?"

"Wala! May sinabi ba ako deimon? Wala naman 'di ba?"

Kita ko ang panlalaki ng mata ni haven kay deimon para sumangayon 'to sakanya. Kahit kailang talaga si mon lagi ang idinadamay niya pagdating sa mga kalokohan. Kung umasta si haven akala mo kasing edad o mas bata pa siya kay mon, eh. But to tell you honestly, they have a five years age gap.

I remember when haven was just a junior highschool. He would often cut class just to play video games in the computer shop. The worse part is, he will even go to deimon school just to pick him up and to have someone with him to go to the shop-in the computer shop. So that he is not the only one to be scolded by me.

What a smart ass.

But that doesn't mean they can escape their punishment from me. To tell you the truth I'm quite strict when it comes to their academic performance. Ayoko ng mababa ang grade dahil sisiguraduhin kung lagot sila sa 'kin. They can do everything they want just don't neglect their study. Ako ang tumatayong Padre de familia sa mansyon kaya kargo ko ang mga pinsan ko.

About their parents-our parents. Don't bother asking anymore. They're useless. For them, money over their children.

A little smirk is plastered in deimon's face. "Hmm? Bakit parang ang rinig ko you want to sleep in 7/11."

I look in to Haven's face and I can see the look of betrayal in him. Kahit ako ganyang din magiging itsura kapag binaliktad ako ng pinagkakatiwalaan ko, eh. I'm not serious though. I know we're just playing right now. Kilala nila akong magalit at hindi ganito 'yun. At hindi nila gugustuhin magalit ako.

We are close enough to joke like this. Close enough that we already see each other's members. You know, I may look like a serious person but that doesn't mean I don't go along with their jokes. Although with a serious face.

Bata palang ako ay alam ko na ang responsibilidad na nakapatong sa 'kin. My grandparents always reminding me that someday I would be the one who will inherit the company. Kaya bata palang ay pressure na'ko sa mga bagay bagay.

That leads me to be a rebellious because I want to go back to my parents so my the pressure that I feel would be gone. But of course my parents don't care, so I stop caring for them too. And accept my fate to be my grandparents heir.

"Anyway, we are planning to arrange your party kuya. Do you have a place in mind?" Pag-iiba ni shale sa usapan.

"Why bother?" I asked.

What I mean is why are they bothering to make a party when we can just eat a simple dinner. You know, a simple dinner and their complete attendance would be already good for me.

I can feel the dark glare that Shale's giving me. "Don't be stubborn kuya sate. Hmp, bakit ko ba kase hinihingi opinyon mo? Kung pwede naman kami nalang magplano."

"I know an event place. We can have that." Luxe suggested.

"Sige, we could visit that so we can have a reservation. The foods on me already."

"Ako na sa invitation. Ako na rin ang bahala sa mga iimbitahan." Haven volunteer.

"You know, you don't have to do thi-"

Shale cut me off and he didn't even bother giving me a single glance. "How about the designer?"

"I know someone. I can handle it." Aose said.

Napahilot nalang ako ng sintido dahil sa kakulitan ng mga pinsan. Hindi talaga marunong makinig. Shale is stubborn when it comes to something like this. Hindi siya papayag ng hindi magkakaro'n ng bonggang salo-salo sa mahahalagang okasyon. Isa rin 'to sa mga pinsan ko na hindi nakakalimot ng mahahalagang okasyon.

"Just use my card." Pagsuko ko nalang sa mga kalokohan nila.

"K." He even rolled his eyes on me.

Attitude.

"Wait, ano ambag ko?" Ren asked.

"Wala sarili mo lang. You're busy right?" Oyen sarcastic remarks made Ren glared at him.

"Wow nagsalita 'yung wala ding ambag."

"At least hindi ko nakakalimutan birthday ni kuya."

"Like I've said, busy nga ak-"

"Shut it you two! You both don't have ambag kaya manahimik kayo dyan!"

They both shut their mouth when shale scolded them. Kita ko naman ang palihim na tawanan ng iba sa kanila. Not haven though. Ang lakas ng tawa, eh. But Rane and Wai is not. They are wearing a poker face, as always. Hindi ko alam kung saan nagmama 'yan.

Not guilty, ah.

"So...ilang taon ka na kuya?" Deimon asked innocently. But I can hear the teasing in it.

"Kuya's age doesn't matter you know." Ang malumanay na sabi ni Den.

"It's important kaya. Malapit na siyang mawala sa kalindaryo, eh. HAHAHHAHA."

Kailangan ko pa bang sabihin kung sino nagsabi niyan? I bet we all know who is it. Siya lang naman ang mahilig manghiram ng card ko pero ang lakas mangasar.

"How about you? Do you want to disappear in this world?"

My cold tone made him stop laughing.

"Who's big bike's outside?" Wai, for the first time spoke.

I tilted my head when I remember that haven borrowed my card to buy a big bike.

"Why? You want it Wai?" I asked him while looking directly in Haven's eyes. Kita ko ang panlalaki ng mata nito sa sinabi ko. Kanina pa nangaasar. Pabawi lang ng isang beses.

He always messes with me. Now deal with it.
