I wish I brought Gardevoir with me; her Teleport would have been a way faster means of travel. But it was for the better, as she was helping train Bagon and the others. I wasn't going to postpone Bagon's training just because I wanted the luxury of getting home faster. As a Trainer, it was my duty to put my Pokemon' needs before mine. I'd die for them as they'd die for me.

It was only noon when I flew out of Fuchsia City, leaving it behind at booming speeds, Aerodactyl's graceful flying making sure that the ride was as comfortable as possible. The crisp breeze ruffled my hair slightly, golden strands covering my eyes at random intervals. Surprisingly, the back of Aerodactyl wasn't a bad place to sit despite the hard scales that adorned her spine, and my rear wasn't aching. Or maybe it was because the ride wasn't very long.

I didn't leave the city instantly. I did some battling with the local Trainers, but as I feared, they were so weak. Steelix was disappointed when he effortlessly one shot their Pokemon... and he didn't even use a move. He just sort of... hit them with his tail normally, and they went down.

Before I knew it, we were hovering over the lab, Aerodactyl slowly beginning to dive below, making sure I held my legs around her waist and my arms around her neck tightly as we descended. As she began to straighten her body, her head facing the ground, gravity helping us, Aerodactyl's wings curled up against her. The ground rushed toward us at breakneck speeds, but I did not close my eyes once.

I trusted Aerodactyl. She was graceful flyer. I knew this landing wasn't anything too difficult for her.

Before we hit the ground, Aerodactyl released her wings, catching the air with them. Our momentum was mitigated tremendously, our descent slowing down into a gentle glide, until Aerodactyl planted her talons on the grass, in front of the lab.

My heart was beating rapidly with excitement as I hopped off Aerodactyl, grinning as I rubbed her head.

"Damn, that was fun. We should try that again sometime."

"Aero!" she agreed and then, slyly, tried to chomp at me. I chuckled and jumped backward, avoiding it.

"Gotta be quicker than that." I returned her to her Poke Ball, yawning. "Damn, what a long day.

I entered the lab, immediately spotting Chloe and Yamper, who glared at me and left without another word. Though, her glare wasn't as cold as it usually was, so that was something.

"Another warm welcome by the merciful Chloe," I muttered under my breath, rolling my eyes.

I tucked my hands into my pocket and went through the door that led to the dome. I saw that the barrier between both halves were open.

Gardevoir was training Bagon, who desperately tried to ram into her with Headbutt. But she blurred out of the way, and Bagon only hit empty air. Damn was she fast. She didn't even use Teleport; that was just her raw speed.

Bagon quickly changed course, attempting to Headbutt Gardevoir once again, but she merely stepped to the right and dodged it with ease. But Bagon, as if expecting her to weave, reared his head toward her, opening his maw, his teeth beginning to glow with dark energy.

Gardevoir smiled as Bagon bit down with Crunch and, in one swift motion, jumped over the attack, flipping until she was behind him.

"Gar!" Gardevoir said proudly. It was super impressive that Bagon learned a new move so quickly. I hadn't expected it. But then again, he was the offspring of my dad's Salamence, a Pokemon probably strong enough to demolish Champions on her own. So it was no surprise that my Bagon was able to learn quickly. Hell, he'd even managed to catch Gardevoir off guard for a moment.
