Willow wanted to think off all the problems she had. But, with this girl seated in front of her, she could not. Not even the slightest bit.
It was a rare feeling that she got from this whole situation. Han-eun seemed to be a great distraction. She suddenly felt normal and completely sane. Like everyone else.
Even though this was the first time she had spoken to Han-eun, Willow couldn't help but feel something.

Han-eun wasn't just a rich girl that provoked the underprivileged. She was modest to say the least. She seemed to be a normal girl. The sound of her voice soothed Willow's aching heart but a the same time, her heart skipped everytime Han-eun said something. Especially when her name escaped Han-eun's lips.

The way Han-eun held her gaze made Willow forget who she was for a second.

𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑𝑛'𝑡 𝑙𝑒𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑔𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑑𝑜𝑤𝑛. 𝑆ℎ𝑒'𝑠 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑝𝑖𝑡𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑦𝑜𝑢. 𝑌𝑜𝑢'𝑟𝑒 𝑝𝑜𝑜𝑟 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑐. The voice in Willow's head warned. By looking at Han-eun's eyes, Willow felt like an equal because Han-eun spoke to her like one.
But deep down she knew that wasn't true. She wasn't an equal and she never will.

"You and Valerie seem like good friends." Han-eun said interrupting Willow from her thoughts.

"Oh, yeah, we barely talk outside of school because I work most of the time."

Han-eun nodded. Being around Willow made Han-eun feel content. She had been eyeing Willow from a distance for the longest time ever. She seemed to be in her own world and she barely said anything to anyone. Even to her friend, Valerie.

Han-eun had asked around about Willow but because everyone was judgemental about Willow's background she never got much information about her. All she knew about Willow was that she lived out of the city and she took care of her younger sibling because she had absent parents.

Looking at her from across the table as she quietly ate her food made Han-eun smile. She looked really satisfied. She was still consumed by her own thoughts but when their eyes met, Han-eun saw them sparkle.
Willow's eyes were like brown pebbles smoothed slowly by the trickle of a stream.
They were golden brown, like the afternoon sun shining through a glass of whiskey. Han-eun could stare at them for hours and hours. She'd rather get lost in those chocolate eyes than return to her bitter world.

"You're being creepy." Willow noted, a smirk on her face.
"I'm sorry. You have beautiful eyes." Han-eun blushed looking away from Willow.
Willow was a mess. She felt hot, as if she was going to do explode in a second. She never recieved such words and the fact that they came from Han-eun, Willow could not contain herself.

"Uhm, thanks?" Willow stuttered.

"I don't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."

"Don't worry about it. It's just that, I've never been told I have beautiful eyes."

"Well, now you know you have beautiful eyes."

"Thank you for dinner. I had a good time." Willow said softly as the two girls stood outside of the diner as the chilly winds blew over them.

"Don't mention it. It's pretty late, I could take you home."

Willow shook her head profusely. "No, don't. It's okay, I still have somewhere to go before I head home."

"Well, let me take you to where you need to go."

"It's an hours drive."

"It's fine."

"You're sure?"

"I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't sure. Come, let's go." Han-eun said walking over to her parked car.
