Hi, friends. I enjoyed writing this for you as always. Happy Halloween!! If you think anyone needs to be expanded on here, let me know.

Ciel didn't respond, processing the scenery around him. This looked like a place to actually live. Maybe demons had lives outside of making deals with humans and devouring souls. They were people. Just highly different from the ones on Earth.

-

"Why do people see it as such a terrifying place?" Ciel asked. This was far from it. The only thing he could think of being unsettling, were the shadowy figures he saw peeking out from the doorways. Demons without a corporeal form. None of the demons were making any move to approach the trio, only watching from a distance.

He briefly remembered when he first met Sebastian. The demon had flicked between multiple forms - a lion, an amorphous blob with eyes - before settling on his butler form. Even after, he had changed his form during the discussion of their contract.

"Beats me, kid." Dr. Pagete shrugged with the arm not holding Sebastian. "I suppose if a place is supposed to be opposite of Heaven, it's going to be a place people fear. You have to remember Lucifer was a Fallen Angel."

"And he created Hell." Ciel replied, looking away. Made him wonder what Lucifer was like. To create a place not of fire and brimstone, but an older village. With cobblestone streets and quaint little homes. It was easy for him to forget literal demons roamed these streets. Maybe it was because he himself lived with one. Why Hell didn't bother him as much as it could.

"Indeed he did. Created a world for himself after he was thrown out."

"It doesn't look like Heaven at all." Or what he was told Heaven looked like.

"You think he would want it look like where he was thrown out? I would wager such a rejection would be cause for creative liberty." Dr. Pagete continued.

"You have a point." Ciel lapsed into silence. The trio continued walking. Ciel noticed a sweets shop and had to peek in despite the situation they were in. The candies looked like every other sweet on Earth. Chocolates, lollipops, even a taffy puller was in the background. The pullers were bare, though. No taffy. "Yummy.."

"Ask Maurin to take you there." Pagete said to the young boy. Who, at his core, really was a child with a huge sweet tooth. He always would be a kid who loved his butler's sweets. It was an endearing factor about him. "They should be open soon, and he can hype you up on sweets! Before bringing you back to your butler."

-

Sebastian gave the doctor a look.

"What? I believe he deserves to be treated. You'll be right as rain after to deal with your charge on a sugar high."

"Please?" Ciel looked up at Sebastian.

It didn't take long for Sebastian to debate. "Have as many as you like. You deserve it."

Ciel smiled. A small glimmer of hope in what had been a very long night. A long situation. Now he was allowed to have sweets before his breakfast! As many as he wanted! It did wonders to help him cheer up. Along with Dr. Pagete's promise they would help heal Sebastian. Maybe things would be okay. They would be okay.
