The atmosphere was eerie, as the class awaited for their DaDa teacher. Of course Annie knew better. He would be recovering for the rest of the day at the least.

The classroom boomed into silence, as the metal door slammed shut, and one by one, the frames of the windows closed, darkening the classroom. Snape strutted across the teaching board, his cape flowing behind him gracefully.

"Turn to page 394." He enunciated the number, walking towards the back of the classroom again to work the projector.

"It seems like your Defence against the Dark arts teacher finds himself incapable of teaching at the time present. Page. 394." He explained, again.

"Werewolves? We aren't supposed to be learning about werewolves for at least a few weeks." Hermione said frowning.

Annie frowned as well, for different reasons. Snape was being a bitch as usual. But this was different. He was trying to expose Remus.

Of all the Marauders, he chose to victimise the kindest soul amongst them. She seethed with anger, but reamained quiet.

"Who can tell me the difference between an Animagus and a werewolve?" He asked, staring at the board. Annie pondered on whether she should be petty, and remain quiet. That's not what Remus would want.

She raised her hand along with Hermione. Snape noticed her hand, and at the same time said "No one?".

Andromeda scoffed, putting her hand down, while staring him down. He raised an eyebrow, but didn't get to comment on it, as Hermione spoke up.

"Sir, please." Her hand waved in the air.
"An animagus is a wizard who elects to turn into an animal. A werewolf cannot. With each full moon, his body transforms and he cannot remember who he is. He could kill his best friend. Furthermore, the werewolf only responds to the call of his own kind."

Draco howled, stealing the spotlight of the classroom for a moment. A few slytherins laughed and the interruption was left at that by Snape.

Hermione's interruption however, was treated severely and judged harshly by Snape.

"That is the second time you have spoken out of turn, Miss Granger," said Snape coolly. "Five more points from Gryffindor for being an insufferable know-it-all."

Annie turned her head from Draco to Hermione, who seemed to be on the brink of tears. Her face went red with embarrassment. Everyone in the classroom seemed to be in a joint agreement of their visceral hate for Snape. Even though almost everyone in the class had called her just that at least once, and Ron, who had practically called her that twice that week, spoke up in protest,

"You asked us a question and she knows the answer! Why ask if you don't want to be told?" Ron seethed beside Andromeda.

Quiet gasps were heard across the room. One of them belonging to a bright Hermione, who glowed from happiness and a few stray tears on her cheeks.
