"Andromeda do you have a minute?" Parvati stopped the girl walking on the Main Hall towards the nurse. "Sorry, I'm kind of on borrowed time." "It's important. Please." Andromeda furrowed her brows in worry. Too much worry had been displaced over her body those past few hours.
"Okay, but it has to be quick." Parvati dragged her over outside in the courtyard, she checked around first to see that no one else was around and started talking.
"So, there's no easy way to say this but, you know about Ginny right?" She crossed her legs and turned sideways on the bench to look at her fully.
"Know what exactly?" "She's my best friend, so we obviously hang out a lot and...she expresses some concerns time to time."
They both paused and looked at each other.
"I don't get it, am I part of the concern?" "Yes." Andromeda stood up from the bench, looking angry. Exhausted.
"Wait! Please." She yanked her back down. "She doesn't even know that I'm here talking to you okay? It's not like she told me to come and tell you all this."
"Then maybe you shouldn't be telling me this-" "Do you like Harry? Are you two dating?" Andromeda coughed on dry air, and swallowed practically nothing. She stared at Parvati with her eyes wide open. "Pardon?"
"You heard me Andromeda. Just answer the question." "Why would I answer that?" "So it's true then?" She pressed on even more. "Where did you get the confidence to ask me those things really? I thought we were friends."
Parvati stood up, sighing. "Im doing this because we are friends. It's just that you've been doing some things, and maybe you don't even realise. And Ginny has taken notice and I don't know, maybe she's right-!" Andromeda looked dumbfounded, so much so that she didn't speak.
"You know that she's liked him even before Hogwarts, and when he saved her last year it solidified even more! She really does like him Andromeda so imagine how she feels when she sees you hanging out like that." "Like what?!" Andromeda said, her tone growing more angry.
"Like you're a couple. You sit together at lunch and breakfast and dinner, you hang out together during and after classes, you sneak out of the dorms some evenings -don't think I haven't noticed-. And then there was this time, when you dyed your hair ginger... I mean, I admit you did look good I wasn't lying when I told you so. It's just that now it looks like you're trying to copy Ginny." Andromeda stood up. Hurt and feeling like she lost a friend. She started walking away. Parvati followed.
"It's simple girl code Annie. You can't just be with Harry when you know Ginny has liked him for years-" "If she wants him so bad she can have him. No need to drag me into this and call it a matter of girl code. We barely talk enough for us to be called friends anyway." Andromeda muttered, walking faster than before.
