"This has been the best night in years! Wooooooo!!!" Sirius Black yelled out in the sky, lifting his hands in the air, feeling utterly happy. He had his daughter back in his arms, his godson by his side.
And he was flying on a bloody hippogriff. The sun rose from the forest, painting Hogwarts with a rosey orange hue.
He welcomed the sight like an old friend."Annie, Harry. I know this may not be the right moment to ask, but I want to put myself out there and be clear, that I would love for you to come and live with me. If you want. Of course I understand if you were to decline. There are more reasons for you to decline rather than accept actually-"
"I would love to!" Harry yelled back with a huge smile on his face.
Sirius awaited for Annie's response. But there was none. His heart picked up, feeling a surge of dread and dissapointment. But it was okay. It had to be, because giving her a choice of life had never been the case between the two of them.
As Buckbeak glided down quietly towards the Hogwarts courtyard, Sirius heard her soft snores against his chest. He smiled, wiping away any thoughts he had left.
The rough descent woke her up in a startling manner, as she held onto Harry's shoulders. Realising her mistake, she pulled back as if she had touched fire itself.
They got down, one by one.
Sirius stayed up.Andromeda frowned.
"Where are you going?!" She asked reaching for his hand."Don't worry my love, I will only disappear for a day or two at the most. I want things to die down. And hopefully regain my innocence, a result from your help of course.
7:26 am.
"Then we can come and live with you? Right?!" Harry asked excitedly, fixing his crooked glasses.
Sirius smiled, and looked back to catch Andromeda's shocked expression.7:27 am.
"Let me arrange a few things that need to be in order. I will contact you first. Thank you for all your help. I couldn't have escaped this horrible fate weren't it for your care. And trust." He spoke with emotion in his voice. He bend towards Andromeda.
"I will be making up those lost years with you, for the rest of my life."7:28 am.
"Im sorry but we need to go!" Hermione stressed, looking at her watch.
"Here we go!" Sirius held on to Buckbeak as he started galloping towards a cliff. They waved as he glided into the daylight.
Annie and Harry's smiles, were etched on their faces like tattoos.7:29 am.
"GO! NOW!" Hermione started running, they followed suit. The infirmary was seconds away. They could hear their own voices. So close...
The door of the infirmary burst open, as a shimmery dust of time travel fell to the floor. The glow was still there when the three of them walked inside.
"W-what?! You guys were just there? And you? How much did I hit my head..." Ron run a hand through his hair, frowning.
"You're fine mate, don't worry." Harry smiled, sitting beside him.
"I don't reckon we all are." Ron said weakly, glancing at a lonely Andromeda who stood in the middle of the room.
"Sorry. I will give you some privacy." She run out of the infirmary, letting the doors shut behind her.
Ron looked at Harry incredulously.
Hermione ticked Harry to the head.
Harry was confused."Hello??? Aren't you going to talk to her?!" Ron asked, feeling actually insane.
"Well yes, but it looked like she wanted a moment alone..?" He scratched his head.
"She has been practically holding her tears this whole time. Everytime she looks at you her eyes turn red." Hermione furrowed her brows.
"Are you going to forgive her? Or not? It's up to you mate." Ron asked, tightening a bandage around his foot.
"But everything is over! What's there to be sorry about?!" Harry flailed his hands around.
"Just talk to her. Please." The urged him, and he walked out the room more confused then ever. Hermione sat on Ron's bed, and they started talking in hushed whispers.
He closed the infirmary doors, and looked at the sun peeking out through the lit corridors.
Finally he could be at peace.
