Everyone knew who Sierra Sterling was an icon in the tennis world. Although it had been a while since she was active in the sport, rumors about her hiatus varied. Some were tame, like her taking time to heal after having her third child with her husband, while others speculated about family problems or even substance abuse. Sierra didn't care what people thought about her personal life, but she couldn't stand them doubting her skills. She had been practicing relentlessly for a major comeback, starting with a collaboration on tennis wear with Ralph Lauren.

Sierra, whose once colorful curls with blonde highlights from her youth were now straightened and black, she stood poised in an outfit from her Ralph Lauren campaign. She wore a pink tennis skirt matched with a white polo shirt and a tennis visor, holding her racket as she posed for photographers. On either side were her two children, dressed in similar attire. After numerous shots from various angles, Sierra walked over to her assistant, who held her youngest child.

"Aww I hope you were good for Nyla, Cooper." Sierra said as she picked up her son from her assistant's hands.

"He was." Nyla smiled back at her.

"I'm sorry for putting you on babysitting duties last minute." Sierra apologized.

"It's fine, it's fine. I know you're going through a lot," Nyla said sympathetically, her voice tinged with concern, but her attempt at empathy only earned an annoyed look from Sierra.

"Anyways about that I have updates on your husband's whereabouts" Nyla said, grasping Sierra's attention."

"He's entered in Phil's Tire Town Challenger in New Rochelle next week." Nyla added.

"New Rochelle, hm," Sierra hummed, distracted by the TV sports commentary about Art Donaldson's comeback.

"Are you a fan of Art Donaldson?" Nyla asked, curious.

"Oh, no, not really. I mean, he's a good player, but I don't really follow him," Sierra replied awkwardly.

"Well, OMG, I'm obsessed with him! He's such a strong player, and isn't he cute?" Nyla said, smiling at her boss.

"I guess so," Sierra laughed. "We went to college together, so I have a slight history with him." This statement couldn't have been further from the truth. Art wasn't just a casual acquaintance from college; he was someone who had a profound impact on her life. Their relationship was complex and filled with memories that went beyond the typical college experience. Every interaction with him carried a weight of shared experiences, unspoken feelings, and a connection that still lingered despite the years that had passed.

"OMG, that's crazy! Is there any possible way I could meet him, if that's not too crazy to ask?" Nyla expressed.

"Oh, well, that was a long time ago. We aren't really close like that." Sierra said awkwardly
