Next Morning

Sierra lay in her bed, feeling groggy from the lingering effects of last night's partying. As she turned over, she heard a light knock on her dorm room door followed by the sound of keys turning in the lock. She wasn't surprised; she had given Tashi a spare key, and Tashi always dropped by unannounced however she was annoyed that she had dropped in that early.

"Good morning," Tashi hummed as she entered the room, holding a bag. Sierra groaned, turning away from her and covering her face with a pillow.

"Leave me alone, I'm sleeping," she whined. Tashi came closer and tugged the pillow away from her grip, noticing a bunch of hickeys on Sierra's neck, smirking at the girl.

"Well, someone had a fun night," Tashi teased, earning a confused look from Sierra. Sierra yawned and stretched, trying to shake off her slumber.

"Tashi, why did you wake me up so early?" Sierra asked groggily, rubbing her arms.

"Sierra, did you honestly forget we have morning practice?" Tashi replied, watching Sierra's face drop in realization.

"Fuck! I totally forgot. Holy shit. It's at 10, right? What time is it now?" Sierra said frantically, getting out of bed and searching for her tennis gear.

"Calm down, it's only 8. That's why I came here—I had a sneaking suspicion you'd forgotten," Tashi replied, causing a grateful sigh from Sierra.

"Thank you," Sierra said, earning a nod from Tashi.

"I feel like shit. I hate playing when I'm hungover," Sierra said, massaging her head for some relief.

"I brought you some water and breakfast, some fruit," Tashi said, unloading the items from the bag.

"Thanks. I don't know what I'd do without you," Sierra said gratefully.

"Oh shit, I'm gonna—" Sierra started, then ran toward the bathroom, kneeling down and vomiting her contents from last night into the toilet. Tashi immediately came to her aid, holding her hair back so no puke would get on it.

"Art really marked you up, huh?" Tashi said, rubbing Sierra's back comfortingly as she lay over the toilet.

"Art? What are you talking about?" Sierra replied, confused.

"Did you not see the hickies? They're everywhere," Tashi replied, pointing to the marks.

"What?" Sierra said, bewildered, as she got up and looked in the mirror, tilting her head to see the various hickies lining her neck, shoulders, and chest. She silently cursed under her breath.

"Well, this is going to be a nightmare to cover up," Sierra said, frustrated, as she flushed the toilet and went to the sink to clean up.

"Art was very hungry," Tashi laughed.
