For the next few weeks, Abby always set aside time to go and visit Warren. He was always so kind to her and the two had a lot in common. One day, Abby was soaring through the sky, enjoying the sun on her face and the breeze through her feathers. She closed her eyes and listened to the bird sing around her. Their songs stopped as she heard a familiar voice.
"Is this what you do when you're not training?"
Abigail opened her eyes and saw Warren flying towards her. She smiled and took his hands.
"Sometimes, yes. I like to get away from the chatter and noise," Abby replied, quoting him. "What are you doing out here?"
"Jean and Beast said my wings have healed and they wanted me to get some fresh air." He paused. "It's good to be back in the clouds."
"It's been very lonely just talking to birds," Abby joked.
The two laughed and spent the rest of the afternoon flying together.
