You trudged through the front door, your feet aching from a long day at work. The weight of your handbag and one-year anniversary gift for your boyfriend Josh felt like a burden. You spent hours at work thinking about your special night, imagining candles, wine, and an intimate dinner that Josh had prepared for both of you since he didn't go to work.

As you entered the house, you looked around to see if he was downstairs. But he wasn't there, so you went to the kitchen to put your things on the counter with his gift. The gift was a black forest cake, his favorite. You bought it from a bakery near your workplace. You called out, "Josh?" But your voice was cut short by a faint noise coming from upstairs. It sounded like muffled laughter, followed by a faint moan. Your heart skipped a beat; you wanted to believe whatever you just heard was something else.

Taking a deep breath, you went out of the kitchen and ascended the stairs. With each step, the sounds grew louder. Once upstairs, your eyes fixed on the slightly open bedroom door.

The moans coming from the door sounded like a woman's voice. Your heart began to race, and your body started shaking. Millions of things were going through your mind. Slowly and quietly, you walked up to the door and pushed it open with your shaking hands.

Only to see Josh with a woman on top of him, his arms wrapped around her naked body. His coworker, Alice,You immediately recognized her bleached-out pixie hair. "Josh?" Your voice trembled; you could barely get his name out of your mouth. They both looked at you with a look of shock on their faces. Alice sat up next to him, her eyes meeting yours with a smirk.

Josh quickly wrapped the sheet around his waist and approaches you. "(Y/n), it's not what it looks like". He tried to put both hands on your shoulder, but you recoiled. Your eyes filled with anger and hurt. "Don't touch me!" You exclaimed, you voice shaking with emotion.

Alice spoke up, a sly smile on her face. "Oh, it's not? Because he asked me to come over, and one thing led to another". Josh's face turned red with shame, but he continued to protest his innocence. "Y/n, please listen to me, I love you; I was drunk, this meant nothing; I swear".

You hissed, voice trembling with rage. "You're a liar, Josh. You're a pathetic, weak excuse for a man, You disgust me".You gave him a harsh slap in the face; his eyes widened in shock. Your hand stung from the impact of the slap, but the pain was nothing compared to the emotional agony you were feeling. He moved his hand to the part of his face that you slapped, and you could see the imprint of your hand.

You wanted to cry, but held it back. You didn't want to cry in front of them, especially in front of that witch. You didn't want to give Alice the satisfaction of seeing you crying. Alice watched the scene unfold with a smug expression; you turned to her. "Get the fuck out, before i rip your fucking hair out!" Your voice was cold and steady. She hesitated before slowly getting out of bed and gathering her clothes. She quickly slipped out of the room, leaving you and Josh alone.

Josh stands there, helplessly, as your gaze turns to him. "How could you do this to me? After everything we've been through?" You asked, your voice filled with pain, Josh didn't answer you

"Answer me !"

He remained silent, With that you stormed past Josh and go into the walk-in closet, your mind racing as you threw clothes into a suitcase. You could hear Josh behind you, still trying to explain himself, but you didn't want to hear it.

"Please Y/n, Let's talk about this" Josh says, his voice filled with regret. "I love you, and I never meant to hurt you".He continued pestering as you dug through the closet. You turned to face him, your eyes blazing with anger. Taking a deep breath before speaking, your voice filled with venom. "I'm done with you Josh, i can't believe I wasted one whole fucking year with a garbage piece of shit like you".
