In Daniel's house the joint family does their own thing. Maria and Elizabeth chat in the kitchen over decaf coffee while Elizabeth's husband Joseph, sits on the coffee table with evidence he snuck from work, even off duty, he doesn't stop being a cop until the job is done. And as for the two cousins, they do their own...activities in the living room.

Daniel: "Are you okay?"

Lerato: "Y-yeah it's just so...hard."

She says with a faint whimper

Daniel: "Well you better adjust because they're not letting up."

The two cousins focus back on the game they're playing: Multiverses. Lerato is playing as Iron Giant and Daniel is playing as Finn the Human, they're fighting Tom and Jerry along with the near unstoppable Jason Voorhees.

(What'd y'all think they were doing~😏)

The two teens button mash ferociously to take the points, this lasted for a bit until the TV turns off, along with the rest of the electrical appliances of the house.

Lerato: "What the..."

Daniel: "This is what we get for using a stupid XBOX."

Lerato: "Screw you dude, like your slim ass Playstation handles better."

Maria walks in and flicks the lights off and on a few times.

Maria: "Bloody Eskom."

(Eskom: South African electricity providing company.)

Joseph: "We haven't had Load Shedding in years, this can't be Eskom."

Elizabeth: "Do you think it's cable theft?"

Joseph: "Probably."

Lerato turns to see her cousin running to his room and she follows, they pass their aunt/mother who sees them despite it being dark.

Elizabeth: "Those two...always sneaking off...I wonder what they're doing."

Daniel enters his room and uses his phone camera to look through his table, Lerato following suit.

Lerato: "Whatcha doin there bud?"

Daniel: "I'm not going through this bullshit again, and this time I can actually prevent it."

Daniel finds the right comic and touches it. On que, his fingers glow and orange lightning sparkles in his eyes and with incredible speed, he jumps out of the window and runs out of the yard, leaving a trail of the very same orange lightning as he runs.

While running, a red suit materializes in mid air and replaces his clothes, making him look exactly like a recognizable figure: The Flash.

Variety speeds through the streets of Johannesburg as he makes his way to the power station. There a man in overalls is dragging a giant wire, he turns to see the fast approaching figure heading towards him, he screams at the top of his lungs as he's taken away along with the wire.

Variety drags the screaming cable thief and the giant cable with adrenaline and momentum, speeding his way to the police station as everyone stares in awe at the Blur, or Streak or trail or whatever.

At a police station, the Officers working are suddenly startled by the screams of pedestrians, they run outside as people point at a street light in awe. There on the tall street light, the cable thief is hanged up on it, tied by the very cable he tried to steal. On his chest is a note written "Attempted Cable Theft" letting the police know what to charge the man with.

Variety, still taking the form of the Scarlet Speedster stands on the roof of a building as the man is apprehended, he turns away and super speeds off, right back to his house.

The screen is dark before a News intro plays. Once it stands, a man in a suit sits in front of the camera.

Thabo: "Morning everyone and welcome to Johannesburg News . I'm Thabo Sethole reporting live from SAJN."

At the bottom of the screen, a text appears writing: "Superheroes guard over SA citizens."

Thabo: "Recently South Africans have been getting visited by what can only be described as 'real life comic book characters. These comic book heroes have been showing up and providing community service along with vigilante justice, more to Siya Mbethe."

The screen shifts to a young man with a News mic.

Siya: "Thank you Thabo, I'm here at the scene where one of these individuals showed up. Behind me is the very same burnt down building where witnesses claim they saw the popular comic book character known as Spider-Man save people from the fire. We'll show you interviews now."

The Afrikaans woman Daniel saved shows up.

Woman: "I was so scared, I thought it was the end of my story but as if I'm in a Saturday morning cartoon, he shows up and saves my life. Spider-Man if you're watching, Baie dankie."

The screen then shows one of the Firefighters.

(Translation: "It was unbelievable, we were carrying a few people out of the building when we ran into him. I thought he was a guy in a costume but he actually started crawling on the walls.")

The mother of the boy Variety saved shows up.

Mother: "I don't know if that man actually has powers, all I know is that he saved my boy, thank you."

Siya: "Back to you Thabo."

The screen shifts to Thabo.

Thabo: "Thank you Siya. Head of Scientists have claimed they don't know how these individuals do what they do but further investigation will be conducted."

Thabo: "The question that's being asked around is who are these heroes...and where did they come from?"

The camera man mutters to himself.

Cameraman: "That is the weakest line, I've ever heard."

The TV turns off, revealing that Daniel was watching the News.

Daniel: "......Hmmm."
